2010 sleds

the new m sleds will have the hcr seat, the 1000 will only be available as a sno-pro.....no turbo mountain sled....oh yeah, bng....the m-8 will have 157 hp, according to a tech rep at the show....the turbo will have a 144 track, good crossover, but not a mountain sled....and it's still too heavy anyway....the new seat looks gay, no offense to the broke-back-mountain boys...

By HCR seat I guess you mean Boss seat, because the SP and LE came with that seat if snow checked.

I hear they are giving out free turbos and race fuel for a year if you snow check!

:mad::mad:I was reading on the web site the new 800 ho has 160 hp with a new lightweight crankshaft....OH NO!...did they just make the new cat polaris like?...I don't like the sound of 800 twins with weak cranks....:mad::mad:

if all they did was knife edge the lobes and etc it shouldn't weaken the crank at all, just reduce some of the rotating mass... this was a common mod on racebikes over the years...

I am sure the crank will be fine. You can remove alot of mass and not hurt the integrity of the crankshaft itself.

Damn I might have to see if I can get a test ride.

Any dealers in the north Utah area that will let me ride a demo this spring? :D

That M8 sno Pro look fun!

Speedwerx has been lightening cranks for a while now...it's popular on sno-x sleds because they rev faster...it may not help in the mountains though...that whole 'heavy primary weights help you carry RPM up hill' argument comes to mind.
