2009 600 XP questions

Right now i have a 2001 Summit 700, but I found a 2009 Everest 600 146 for $7,000. It is not an e-tec. I thought it seemed pretty cheap but was just wondering how it would compare with my 700 and if i'd be able to tell any power difference or not.

After owning carb, SDI and etec in the 600 I would never go back to a carb on a 600 and wish they had etec for the 800. If it is for your wife then get her a machine that won't stick. A etec will use 1/3-1/4 as much oil as the carb version. The etec will definitely out perform your 700.

Love the 600 E-Tec I got for the wife, it is one sweet ride.

I have to agree with the above post's, I have ridden both 2001 700 summit and a 09 600 e-tec and the e-tec preforms better.

I had the '01 700, then went to the 600HO and then the 600SDI years later, and I feel neither had the top end nor torque of the 700.

My buddy still has that 700 so Ive been on and off of it through my last 5 years of 600's, and always end the ride wishing SkiDoo had never dumped the 700.

Not too powerful, yet more engine than the 600's.....just right.

So you're basically saying don't waste my time with a regular 600 XP? Go with an e-tec if i do get a 600?
