seemed to me the snow stayed lower also. but i think there was about a foot of snow on the road at about 9 am. was starting to snow pretty hard agin about 6pm

You're going to think I am crazy, but...
the girlfriend said last night she wants to go riding this weekend, so I am considering driving tomorrow night from Iowa to Centennial to go riding Saturday.
1.) Do you think I-80 through Nebraska will be open tomorrow night?
2.) Anyone want to show us around, I have been several times, but it is the GFs first time?

I should think you can make it from chains end. I think the North French snotel is down because it didn't register any new snow but the sand lake snotel shows 2 feet of new snow.

The temp sensor is updating hourly. This was an upslope storm. The east side gets hammered - the west side gets nada. Opposite of what usually happens.

Ya I know but Brush ck Snotel had 4-5 inches new. I guess we need someone to run up there and check it out.

I don't care if there is only 6 inches on the road, I just want enough to be able to get to the top. I've always rode from the Centennial side but since I am coming from Rock Springs now it is much quicker for me to go up the other side. I've never parked over there so it's all new to me. I'll let you know what I find out though.

You will like riding from the saratoga side much more than the centennial side.
You should have enough snow to get to lake marie.

Is anyone concerned I-80 not being open? (For us coming from that direction.)
i80 gets closed a lot between cheyenne & laramie, but i suspect it will be open
although it is pretty slickery now

Unless they get a huge wind storm thru there it should be open.
I-80 is the main artery moving east to west and wyoming puts a lot of effort to keep it open.

Still here, we're battling the weather like everyone else. Farther along than the boys up north and to the east though. Good week and a half, I'd be finished up and headed west.
