2006 m7

why do I see so many 2006 M7's for sale - something wrong with them or just a coincidence - anything in particular I should look out for when lookin?

They were a VERY popular rental sled and the core sled of many fleets. And, now with the M8 being the next step up, many people are upgrading. At least thats my take on it. I also have an 06 M7 but am going to give it to my wife next year or the year after when I upgrade. They have their flaws in stock form: the front suspension a-arm bushings are prone to cracking easily for one and I'm sure many others on here know the basic parts that fail and might chime in.

The M7 is still one of the best all around sleds there is. It is light and is the one that made the M-sled name. I think that borderstaff nailed it, a couple years have gone by since they went out, and now people are starting to upgrade. Make sure the DD oil was changed and you will be good to go.:D

I'd LOVE a '10 M8 but they are just too expensive for me. I'm stickin with my 06 M7 w/ RKT 8BB. People are just refreshing hardware, the 05/06 M7s are now 4-5 years old. I'd take another 06 M7, I've been VERY happy with mine.

I have both a 2006 M6 and a 2005 M7. They are great sleds I have never had any problems with either sled.

The newer sleds have reverse, the 2005 and 2006's don't. I know alot of people wouldn't upgrade to a 2007 or 2008 because of the weight added by the mechanical reverse. Now that they have electronic reverse and a new motor everyone is starting to upgrade.

The M7 is a great sled for a sledder on a budget.

m7 s rock

I love mine and have been completely happy with it till i jumped on a new m8......my 7 is light quick and a blast to ride but the reverse, telesoping bars the boss seat the news are just that much better thats all...the nice thing about the 7's is they sure seem to hold there value compared to alot of their competition

I totally agree, I had a 2006 M7 162 LE and loved it. Personally I liked the orange color and the titanium goodies were a nice touch by cat as well. Light sled, good bolt on mods, no reason to switch......Then came the 2010 M8

My dealer made me a great offer to trade in my M7, numbers made sense, and the fact that I really wanted this sled did not hurt either. For me it came down to the new motor and the electronic reverse, those two things sold me. Also the new seat and the difference in tunnel from the 06-09/10 models was nice as well.

I will say the 06 M7 was a SOLID sled, and with a couple nice bolt-ons the M7 is a handful for any 07-08 M8.
