That would be an awesome idea^

I could see that lifting a lot of the bad feeling about older 800's going down and keeping people on Polaris. They should also do something where if you trade in any other brand you get $500 or something like that. It would be a good way to convince people to "jump ship."

Ok so I talked to the head rep at expo this last weekend and he tells me that there is no visa card issued out to you and the 1000 dollars will be handled through your dealer, he said all dealers were told this at the dealers meeting last week and they can handle it the way they want to. Now I am super confused again!!!

Yeah last week my dealer told me I would get the $1000 back in the form of a check from Polaris to me. Nothing to do with the dealer other than setting up the deal. Glad not to have the $$ come in the form of a Visa anyways.

The idea was to intise the d-8 guys into getting a new pro without having to take a big risk. Pol sent a questioneer to all dealers asking if a pol cc would be a useful tool (Cabelas,Bass Pro , GMC ect)The $1000.00 I'm told will be a dept card (launch of new card?)Pol told me on the dates; that if it's over cause of them they will still honor, it's on any 11 800 sold before feb 28. MAKE SURE YOUR SNOW CHECK APP STATES TRADE (NOT DEPOSIT) AND GET A COPY OF THAT FROM YOUR DEALER AND KEEP IT.
And of heavens sake lets be carefull out there and have some fun.

Form says 8 to 10 weeks to process rebate.

The form says you must be "dissatisfied" to qualify...not just upgrading.

I think all that matters is you snow checked it...you already put money down with intent to buy. Does not matter when it comes in.

Can you still qualify for this if your 2011 snowmobile purchase was not submitted to polaris until after 2-28-11? I took delivery of my 2011 RMK assault on 2-26-11. Bill of sale is dated 2-26-11. My Polaris Starcard shows the purchase date of 2-28-11. But, when the dealer puts my VIN# into the Polaris website my registration date with Polaris is 3-5-11.
Any input is appreciated.

The form says: "Consumer must take delivery of qualifying 2011 model on or before Feb. 28 2011. All rebate applications must be post-marked within 12 months of original model year 2011 qualifying model purchase"

So, unless you can work out something with Polaris directly, it sounds like you're screwed...not good, nor is it fair...in my opinion
