I had a '07 Apex, have ridden all the fancy turbo's and I have to say that Yamaha has the others beat in alot of aspects. Unfortunatly, until they can build something similar to a Nytro, but drop another 50-60lbs and add another 30-40hp I will be sticking with the lightweight 2-strokes simply for the "fun factor" and the type of riding I mostly do. The Yami's are great sleds but not made for every style of rider. I owned one simply to get first hand experience and make my own decision as to whether or not it was for me.
When Yami can do this, I think it would be very hard to buy any other brand.
Oh, and JFYI...the Doo's don't eat belts once you get rid of the lousy factory setup. I had to change the settup on my Apex to get the most out of it also.
