09 yamaha's

Well at least it's healthy and robust,,,and not a skinny little waif,puking it's belts out trying to look like a rock star.Here's the sad thing,,,some new owners of these XP's,bought these things on a 4 year term,,,unfortunately it won't last 2 years.The amount money you're going dump into that lightweight piece of history and the amount of down time and warranty fixes you have wasted, you could've been out riding,,,but if it makes you feel better to dump on the fat chick,,,then fly at it,,,what ever makes you feel good. I can make more power and be lighter,,,you can't be more reliable.

Tough call on the 09's - My guess is an apex chassis revision.

johnny be stupid - what you doin slumin in these parts???? shouldn't you be down in the swamp meat looking for bulk deals on belts?

i used to be one of you fat chick riders! traded a fat chick for a skinny one! sorry! doesnt mader how you dress a fat chick, shes still fat underneth! lol, guess im johnny be smart now! lol

Now you got a chick that doesn't have the stamina to keep,,,excellent choice buddy,,,so you bought a sled that has 60 mile per hour track speed,problem is,,,,it won't last an hour,,,, without having to stop,cool it down,give it a bubble bath and pretend that in three years from you will have sled that is still together and worth something on a trade in,,,,Johnny be smart huh,,,hhmmm.

A buddy has an EX PEE and it just rolled over to 140 klicks,he's on his second belt,the grips quit working,running boards are sacking out and the track is ripping big chucks out of it.

You can always tell an XP owner,,,,but you can't tell em much.

I had a Ski-duck once, once. Bought a lot of belts and watchd a lot of people climb sh!t I couldn't. Now I have a turbo Apex! Hmmmm! Which way was my money spent better? Ya go buy another duck JJ.

now linc wheres all this hostility coming from? different stroke for different folks. some guys like fat girls and i guess your ok with that, just because i like skinny ones, dont hate me for that! its first year growing pains, i know the xp has some problems but there all fixable. thats like me saying i have 2 friends with turbos and ones on track #2 already, they pop sensors and have had there share of problems to, but do you know what, its fixable, as for re sale i plan to buy a new one every year, know matter what make it is,last year yamaha, year before polaris! know matter how you look at it every thing wears out, shocks sage,clutches need work, so on an so on!

Be honest Johnny,,,when you had your Yamaha,did you have as many quality related issues in the first couple months as you do with the X tra P roblems.

As for fat chicks and skinny chicks,,,it's a well known fact that skinny chicks are high maintenance,,,this I know.

Yeah, and no matter how skinny and pretty she is, some other Dude is teired of her sh!t!!
 
I dont think that they will put a factory turbo on the new yamahas, just because of insurance, can you imagine what your insurance agent is gunna do when you ask to insure a 180 hp sled?

It won't be that bad, my Tcat is 172 stock and it only cost me $30 a month when it was brand new.

I am seriously considering a Nytro, I guess I am just hooked on those 1000+ cc triples. My wife is concerned that I won't be happy with stock.

If they build a 180HP SC version I think I could live with that for power down a little from what I have now but close enough. I would order one in the spring if they build it.

to be honest i never had any problems with yamaha,they built quality, they just were not as fun in the trees! had to work way harder to make it keep up with the boyz with revs, thats all.thats were the weight really showed!as for problems, there minor, except for the belts!
 
SC Please!!

How much longer is Yamaha going to make us wait for a supercharged factory sled???

My suspicion is that this is the year for the Apex revamp. My guess is that the styling/chassis will be more along the phazer/nytro lines and my super huge hope is that it will include a supercharger.

I know that everybody on here is asking why I don't just put one on aftermarket, and my answer is that I just really really like riding a sled with a warranty on it. Breaks...it's somebody else's problem, not mine.

Anyway, that's what I think/hope.
 
Sure the Yamis are reliable,Had my HEAVY pig TRX for three seasons,08 M1000 now,and I cant believe how much more fun I am having sledding!! Sure Yammis are great and reliable but you chest pounders need to realize,The new Nytro is heavier,has way less power,and has a piss poor suspension with even cheaper shocks,and was more money than the M.If you guys are all so happy with your Nyros[without boost] you need to ride an M1000,and see what a really good STOCK sled is all about,THE XP may be a unreliable POS,but they are raising the bar for liteweight,they are incredible,dont believe it? Try one in 4ft of fresh pow,it will blow circles around the Nytro.So,how do you expect Yamaha to improve their sleds is everyone of there customers are happy with overweight,underpowered,poorly suspended ,overpriced sleds??? Dont care if the 2stroke will only last a season,The fun factor means 10 times more to me than being able to tow out my buddies sled with a Yamma truck,of course ,if Yamaha did produce a liteweight sled,with good power and shocks without having to drop 10 grand into it,I'd be all over it,But untill then I will rid my lite,high powered,Fox shocked ,smokey, FUN FILLED Arctic Cat,and you guys can keep telling me how wrong I am .LOL
 
You obviously havent rode a nytro if you think a M1000 is easier to ride feetsblg. But personal preference is everything, add boost to the nytro and game over for the m1000.

FeetsBig what the heck you coming over to the dark side for? you don't see us over bashing on the ditch pickle do ya.. Ride a Nytro that is set up right first and then bash it, and by the way who said it would compare to a M1000 stock I would hope the 1000 could out run it...:D LOL...:eek:
