09 yamaha's

Super charged Nytro motor, straight out of the water craft,180 hp ,alititude compensated,and throw a turbo on it as well and,,,,gggiddyup.

Big changes for '09!

Yamaha is going to scrap the 4-stroke thing and produce a super light weight 2-stroke sled that will self-destruct after 100 miles, burn up belts, and have 100 recalls in the first 15 minutes of production......oh wait Ski-doo has already done that! :D:D:D:D

maybe for 09 they should call jenny craig or the biggest loser? maybe they can get the fat pig skinny?

Well at least it's healthy and robust,,,and not a skinny little waif,puking it's belts out trying to look like a rock star.Here's the sad thing,,,some new owners of these XP's,bought these things on a 4 year term,,,unfortunately it won't last 2 years.The amount money you're going dump into that lightweight piece of history and the amount of down time and warranty fixes you have wasted, you could've been out riding,,,but if it makes you feel better to dump on the fat chick,,,then fly at it,,,what ever makes you feel good. I can make more power and be lighter,,,you can't be more reliable.

Linc that is some funny chit right there!!!!:D:D

LMFAO Linc, you are one funny fugger...but..oh wait...you just talking truth actually...

back on topic I hope there's nothing new for next year, but I guess they will make a change in the Apex chassie, to make it more like the nytro, and 160ish hp...no super....

for the amount of money you put into that piggy to make it go ie (TURBO) well i could buy 2 revs, so i guess its not all that bad, one in shop, one out riding, when that one breaks pick the other one up, repeat process, lol, its like dating a super model ( high matinance) but still would rather date a super model then a fat chick, lol ( unless your into fat chicks linc )

Your power to weight really sucks though:eek: My old one tone weighs in just over 500 lb runs 225 to 300 hp on the dial is 4 years old and the motor has never been rebuild, I put a new belt on every year if I need it or not and it costs halve as much a ski do belt explode a belt--------Life is rough:D:beer;
I did have to have the Idea - skill and guts to build it --- but that's why they have the brand band wagon to jump on for guys like you----you don't date the supermodel you have a cheap blow up copy of the real thing---cheers---:beer;

I dont think that they will put a factory turbo on the new yamahas, just because of insurance, can you imagine what your insurance agent is gunna do when you ask to insure a 180 hp sled?

hopefully a sled in between the Phazer and Nytro. There seems to be a bit of a gap there. Anybody that is serious about 180 hp stock, for an extra few g's --"BOOST".
Compare the cost from a boosted nytro to a stock 180hp four stroke(if there was one) Probably not much diff for the horsepower.

Bullsh!t,,,if it makes you feel better to try and convince yourself of this then fine.Go back and read that dribble you just spewed out,,,you want to have two Revs because you don't trust that one will do the trick,,,Ha Ha Ha,,,you're the exact sucker that Ski Doo is looking for,so willing to fork over your hard earned cash on not one,,,but two,,,just in case one breaks down?
Wow,,,I just didn't think of that,,and here I thought the best way was to buy one good sled and just ride it. Your bulimic Ski Doo (that where it purges itself by puking out belts) will only last for a couple years then you'll have scrap it and replace it,so I guess really, you DO have the right idea,,,borrow the money for four years,get rid of it in two 'cause it won't make it to three,,yup that sounds like a solid plan,,,let us know how that works out for you.

How does skidoo brainwash these guys. I had a guy whinin to me last year about all the riding time he lost when his scud had lost 3 motors. He was gonna buy a new Nytro but decided they were too heavy :rolleyes: What does he do this year...buys 2 new scuds so he has a backup, LOL

WTF buy 2 and have a back up???? LOL..:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Actually.... If a guy was on the ball, I would be cheaper to buy 2 doos and one sno bungie. That way you could pull the spare up the hill behind you so you always have a way to get out or continue the day riding when the first one blows up. And, as a bonus..... It's cheaper to heli out 2 sleds at a time than 1 because you have already paid the prep time on the helicopter when lifting the first one out.

It's also cheaper on your truck because you get to carry 2 sleds on the deck therby evening out the load. This will reduce one sided tire wear. The savings you get from that alone can buy you a couple belts and a few various other replacement parts.

And, for the best part.... Think of the gas money you get to save while sitting on a nice sunny flat spot fixing while those cocky yamaha owners are ripping around. HOW COULD THEY!!!! The nerve!! Wrecking a doo fixers day by having to go home because they are out of fuel after a solid day of riding.
