Ok so its now to late to turn back, The airfare has just been confirmed, the shipping arraingments have been made, The vacation time has been approved. Ibbroken and I will be in great falls, mt on the Feb 11th, picking up our hawks from the shipper and heading to LOLO. I am SOOOOOO looking forward to this. All that I can hope for is LOTS of snow before we get there. Is there a hotel that everyone is staying at? I have seen other posts where multiple hotels are listed but I would like to make reservations for a place to sleep and it would be cool to be in a hotel with a decent bar and with other riders so we can drink and chat after riding all day. Whats the general concenses. Has anybody made reservations yet?

Just a reminder

This place has a bar on site, it has natural hot spring pools inside and outside, massive trailer parking and there is a small town just 10 miles town the road with tons of stuff to do.
We will be having get togethers Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
The Montana group is organizing the rides and I am organizing the entertainment that evening.
I encourage all of you to bring home footage on DVD so that we can show the group at night. It has been a great hit the last couple of years.
Bring photo albums and any thing you have.

Also if you have products you sell please bring them as I will be setting up a way so that you guys can promote your home grown Hawk stuff.

Talked to the Lolo Hot Springs today

About getting space for people to setup tables to promote their products at Hawkfest...Again sort of a mini trade show.
They are sooo excited.
So anyone wanting to bring anything just let me know by the first of the year.

I need to know if you can simply place your item outside or if you want a tabe inside.

Remember they have outdoor hot springs.... Maybe I can come up with a fireworks show for you guys???

Also I don't think I mentioned that they have a Casino on the grounds.
So I'm assuming that Peter you will want to show your stuff, Onewoodsrider you will want to show your stuff, so who else is making things they want to promote..

How many Hawk riders have confirmed there trip this year? And Are we going to need any type of registrations to ride . In AK. all sleds need to be registered to ride on groomed trails or state parks.

I talked to my Bro today about his work schedule and he has to work that weekend. Now I need to find another rider who is willing to go and hawk it up. If any of you MN. guys wanna hook up it is always an option with me.

Are you missing something by living on the east coast ??? To have known & lived both: I'd say: YES & totally. If you've never been up in the western mountain above tree line & over the clouds, you don't know what you're missing unfortunately (or fortunately maybe ???).

According to me, the only day(s) in the whole winter that will outmark the annual Hawkfest reunion will be the following (what I call an "epic" day): perfect 24 to 30" overnight snowfall, fluffy powder day at a great mountain, -7 deg C temperature, BIG sunshine, Hawk running perfect with no mechanical problems. Camera crew's there and everyone's happy because they can't beleive that this day is happening... That would've happened to me last year when I was at Revelstoke but my Torque Limiter & unbaffled gas tank gave me shiat all day...

Hawkfest is the best place (& almost the only one as well) to share the passion we all have for this great machine. And this year, where we'll be at Lolo springs, I expect it to be the best one so far.
