What part breaks? The part that bolts to the tunnel, the part that moves up and down, or what?

Thanks!

I have bent 2 telescoping bars in the same spot. Right at the upper brace bushing. . If you take off the slider catch mechanism and look into the tube, there really is not much of a wall thickness to the post. Pretty thin. There is a noticeable difference in weight between my 05 post and this 09 tele riser post. I am looking for something else to use. BDX maybe, but i haven't looked into it that much.

I have not seen any pics of them breaking though, but stories that they have. But again, no description of where the break occurs.

yeah, but your really hard on sh!t

WHAT? People have broken the 09 post???!?!

inconceivable!

Hard on things or not, a post that SNAPS off is unacceptable, a **** design.

There is a reason the AC posts are so weak these days, the mounting point at the bulkhead and tunnel is too weak and will break if the post doesn't. I would like to see some aftermarket guys come out with a bolt on reinforcment for the mounting point and a sturdy post to go with it. I already reinforced my tunnel and bulkhead after breaking them but my last ride of the season i completely snapped of my post at the same spot everybody elses is breaking them. I really don't like my aftermarket options at this point and will probably just cut my existing post clean and insert a piece of pipe into the post and reweld.

If any aftermarket guys are building something for a reasonable price and something that won't break please let me know.

broken bulkhead,tunnel

After installing the adjustable post on my 08 i broke my sled at the lower mounting pointfor the post. I just ordered a 09 tunnel bulkhead and want to reinforce it any ideas? ialso have a bdx apv delete kit with less than 100mi on it for $100 any sugestions would be great.

my buddy who owns the local cat dealership here broke one on his 2009 m8 but he was trying backflips all day one it and one time it landed right on the bars, i also broke mine on my 09 m1000 i was riding off big trees that were sticking out of the snow slanted and misjudged my distance on one and landed in another, ive herd of other guys breaking them to, but in these 2 cases i dont think any post or handle cars would of held up. ive been debating on which post to order, ive been looking at the chromolly one from chad at cr racing or the chromolly one from fastlane but sofar im leaning towards the fastlane one

I plan to go to a fastlane or Wildchild as well.

I'm hoping Wildchild will offer a +4" version as well.

I guess a guy could order the BDX upgrade kit for his VSB bars if you are certain they aren't cracked?
