08xp800 misfire at high RPM

Anyone know if a dent in my exhause pipe can cause a misfire at 7500RPM?

It happens reliably at 7500. Changed plugs and added octane with no difference. The pipe that has a 5 inch long by 1.5 inch deep dent from hitting a fence post.

A dent in the pipe can cause odd problems when its in the expansion chamber portion. Have you had the ignition checked? The computer could be the cause of the problem with timming at that RPM

Try turning off the hand warmers

I turned off the warmers and took it for a very quick ride. It didn't misfire! Thank you! What's with that?

Handwarmers

You need the update. Factory they are on top of heat reflective tape which turned out to be slick enough that they move and short out. In the mean time, raise the cushion in the center of your bars, and unplug the hand warmers and you will be Ok.
