'08-M1000 or '08-XP? Unbiased opinion...........

I also agree with SPDFREEK ... the REV platform just WORKS, the XP is a lot harder to ride in my opinion ... the rev, carves and handles like no other, period.

I would go with the M10. I had a 900 and loved the torque. The cat will feel very similar. I personally can't turn the Doo but ride with others that can make them dance. The Cat will be a more seamless transition in both power and handling. And the 500 bucks savings can go a long way towards any mods you might want in the future.

Look on the bright side, you are choosing between two great sleds. Hard to go wrong.

You only need two more rides on my XP Charlie. 3 rides and you'll have it figured out, but then you wont want to go back. Not knocking any brand of sled but the XP's when clutched right are the best stock all around mountain sleds hands down.

Mark, Mark, Mark. You definitely switched "colors" haven't you. Of course, after your TM7 debacle I can see why. LOL. You know, I really enjoyed My XP last year. It was a blast to ride. No doubt, it takes a little time to acclimate to it's very unique characteristics. Once you have, the other sleds feel awkward.

If I could have only found a good, relaible boost source I would prpbably still have the sled. Unfortunately I need that "extra" bump in HP to carry my lard butt around. LOL. So it was back to the old stand bys. The M sleds have sure came a long way in the boost department in the past few years.

REV is sweet and easy to work on
XP is just trouble and a nightmare to work on
M1000 is heavy
08 m8 is what I would get. Great sled, super bomber and easy to work on and mod out.
You can still get them new.

I actually considered going that way on ebay on the new one, but I like other guys to pay for all the stuff I would put on them anyways! ;) BTW, I got your "Schooled" video the other day. Great instructional video. Very well done! Thanks..........

That is funny, same sled, different engine. Tell me, what exactly is the weight difference? Less than 10 lbs depending on the version you choose. I bet the SP1000 is lighter than the standard M8.

Sorry guys, I just love this notion people have that because the engine is larger, the sled is automatically much heavier.

sled

Sounds like you made a great deal Aaron, I will be riding an XP this year it will be good to compare the two sleds.

I don't like the XP, too hard to throw around and get used to. You will have far better reliability on an M-series, and they are just flat out better.:D

The way your sleds are modded Shannon, I doubt it will be any comparison. I'll be eating your rooster tail is what will be happening!!!

Mark, if that is an offer, I will take you up on it. I enjoyed riding your XP but I can't seem to toss it around like I can my Dragon or Ray's M's. I'm sure it is just time but it is tough to get quality, deep pow time on a good running XP.

From the changes in the weather lately, we should be headed up to the Mesa soon!:beer;

And it's time for a Moab trip. Maybe this weekend.

Charlie, It shouldn't be too long now. I'm heading to Kremmling tonight so no Moab for me. The trails at Rabbit were in good shape yesterday.

Sammy, The Lard butt excuss doesn't work, you'd still be on the boost if you weighed 120 lbs. LOL Looking forward to seeing the new one run!!!!!
