Rexburg- Just got back from my friends house. Traffic on high was is down to 35-40 MPH. About 1 inch has came down so far at my house. No signs of it letting up.
08/09 winter Big Holes Snow Report.

yea you take this one road up to this other road, hang a left go till it ends, unload ride back in a ways, take another right then look for the super local only cut off to the rigde top followed by another super secret trail that takes you to the heart of the big holes 
Road in is a bit rutted for the first 4 or 5 miles due to pieps taking their trucks in their, But was a shock when we topped out. And thats all im gonna say, played in the little bowl at top for 30min or so. Cornice broke and slid a bit on us. nothing to big though.

Nice update Bubba700... looks like me and cookiecutter are headed up there at noon on friday after school. looks like fun
hey you going in through green canyon or up through the bench? don't need direction to anything secret can and have found some nice stuff up in there. If anyone is headed up there is sat then I would be in for riding just as a side note. Don't have anyone to go with so far so would look at going if I can find people to go with.

I was up there today. Lots of new snow but very windy. I went to go take a pic. and my phone camera wouldn't work so I don't have any pic's. sorry
not saying anything, other than..................................................bring gas,
might want to bring a snorkel also..... oh and don't plan on using headlights if it is dark!!!

What time? And group size? Ran into a few pieps yesterday, we were the first group in 3 skidoos and one dragon. Came out around 330 ish

Just got back from the towers rode in from the driggs side, got bad news and bads news, All the rain and warm temps settled everything. Next bad news there is about a 2 in hard wind blown/rain layer that is going to be bad when we get snow on top of it. Next bad news, had a whole hill side shift under my feet and the accompaning wooomp that goes with it needless to say the pucker factor was there big time. Not good conditions. Let people you know know that they need to stay out of the steep stuff up in that area.
I was wondering if its worth the tank of gas to go riding in the big holes saturday or should i just wait tell after the next storm??? also hows the snow towards red butte?
Went to Red Butte and Castle Lake and the snow was TERRIBLE. It was snowing, but not a lot. It also had a 1/4" Layer of Ice, which may be bad for avy conditions. At the parking lot by the power/relay station, it was in bad shape. The snow was melting fast. We had to ride over a lot of dirt to get back to the correls. KEEP PRAYING FOR SNOW!!!
