07 apex stock #1 rod through the block

any one have a problem with throughing rods on stock sleds? #1 just went through block. i have heard of some problems with turbo sleds but none on stockies. was trail riding 50 km/hr 5-6000 rpm and she let go. 2 months old. any ideas? have the dealer stumped and also the district rep will be looking at it on tuesday. i cant see it being my fault. was a cas ride in.

Never heard of it. I don't see how it could be your fault as long as there was oil in the engine. Shouldn't be much of a problem getting it warrantied.

So if I read your other post right about the two nytro motors you have had 3 Yamaha motors in your town that have taken a dump?? This does not sound like Yamaha.

for a second i thought i clicked on the ski doo thread give us some details. how many miles? was it at the beginning of the day or end? have you ever overheated the engine? what kind of snow conditions? I just bought a hold over and your making me nervous!

I wouldn't worry, between me and two buddies we have owned 9 Yammy 4 strokes. All running hard still - no issues!

Yea, I had one let go. #3 rod though. You ought to see the cases!!!!! A hole the size of a grapefruit!!!!!





Ooooops. Left out one thing. There was a "little" hair dryer helping with the induction needs!!!! LOL

Seen an RX1 do it once,but not an Apex.

Have a buddy that's a factory racer and he's had a rod go on a "naturally aspirated Apex." But the snow condiitons were extremely thin and he was to the bar for extended periods of time.
