07 800R case's

i might need to pull my motor and split my case's to replace my crank seals is there anything that i need to do to my case's while it is split if i remember right i heard of a problem with the 07 cases and one remember what it is?

Check the crank run-out. How many miles on the crank? I would look into line boring the cases, that was the problem with many 07's. Contact Big John at Sled Head Racing - (612)-718-3861 he can have the cases machined and if you need crank work he can get you a good price on that too.

i was looking at his website last night and it didnt say much about case work but i will have to give him a call but it has about 2000 i dont remember but i havent had any problems with it yet should i worry about my cases?

Most likely you are gonna have crank issues due to the crank being out of spec or your cases being a little tight on the tolerance from the factory. Big John does good work. Had him do my whole motor over the summer. Crank, line bore the cases, new pistons. Basically the works on my 07'. If you skip dealing with the crank you are sitting on a time bomb in my opinion and I think most would agree.

X2. He has the bottom end Blessed or somthing like that!:face-icon-small-win

how much did it run you to do the crank and the case's? i have a buddy that can help me out with the top end so really all i would need is the case's and the crank

I dropped my sled at his shop and had him do the full meal deal. Just over 2k included the new crank, bearings and seals, case line bored, re-nik on the monoblock, new pistons, carbs cleaned and adjusted and labor. I would think you could get the cases done and crank work for around $1200-1400 but a call would give you firm price. John is than man when it comes to these motors or any skidoo sled for that fact.
