Does anyone know exactly what the differences between the 2 are other than the obvious & clutches? I've heard chaincase, engine mounting, skid & Viper has a better jackshaft but can't find anything definite.

Viper has clutch issue right out of the box. I had XTX Viper and a 2014 M8 last year, the M8 was clutch perfect right out of the box but we had to find a fix for the Viper clutching. Seems you can't take 100 pounds off a sled and radically change the torque curve and use the same clutch and put in 2 stroke weights....lol. That and the Viper has a soft belt (8JP) with less contact surface than the old 8DN.

Viper out of the box would not outrun a Nytro, small clutch change and it blows the Nytro away. I am not posting tech here though as the TWIT's (Technical Wizard In Training) will start a flame war over it.

According tho the literature the 2015 Viper has not changed the clutch and will also need a clutch kit or the DIY clutch fix

Rarely if every will ANY sleds come perfectly clutched out of the box.

Stingray's all purpose Viper clutch set up is so versatile is works in all conditions .......asphalt to powder no changes required. Read it for yourself on TY. The worst part is there are some guys that are believing it.
