Yamaha Viper vs Cat M7000

Imagine those cylinder walls on the first crank at 30 below....I remember using a tampon in my fuel tank just to absorb any water or condensation in the fuel tank.

Wonder how long it takes before some after market company will have a retrofitted Yamaha primary and secondary clutch offered for Cat owners with a M7000 or other with the nytro powerplant :P

I would really like to see the M7000 and the Viper go at it head to head in all types of riding condition...There could even be a stock challenge and mod challenge.....May the best sled win.

No retrofitting required for the Yamaha primary. It bolts right on.

I believe the only part required for the secondary clutch, would be a Viper jack shaft and related shims/spacers/bolt.
The 7000 series sleds use the same jack shaft mounting/chain case set up as a Viper. Instead of the TCL system found on Arctic Cat 6000, 8000 and 9000 sleds.

We will be offering a conversion kit. I don't think it will be hugely popular because of the price of the Yamaha primary clutch. You would be far better off to buy the Viper and save a couple thousand dollars, but there will be some market for it. We will have a bunch of Viper products up on the website about Sept 15th.

I think the clutching issue between The Viper vs M7000 is slightly over inflated although i will give Yammi a very slight CVT edge.....Heck if you know how to tune you can take a coconut shell crack it in half and put them back to back mount it on the PTO and your good to go. :face-icon-small-hap

Let the games begin

A coconut shell might be an improvement over the cat clutch. 5-700 mile throw away junk when I was riding them and my bud got 5 warrantied in 2000 miles.
