Yep, this is the same issue Doo had w/ "nuns"...

Of all manuf, I can't believe it'd be Yamaha to play this same game.

Weaken the proper point in the system find a cheaper bending/breaking point, the a-arm.

I guess I may be drilling holes in the Nytro arms too, after looking at the front end on the Nytro, I don't see it being any easier/quicker/cheaper to fix than a Rev.

If I bend a stock arm, I can put on some aftermarkets instead. ;)

Actually DJ the sub frame's about $400 and from what I've heard about 3 or 4hours to install, I wouldn't drill too many holes in those beautiful A arms, they are a work art. I've tortured mine pretty good and it is pretty straight at this point, 650 miles later, just ride it!! A bent sub frame's not a show stopper...

guess I better go check my subframe. skiidoomutt, I do hear what you are saying. If I go to a dealer and they dont' make any effort whatsoever, It dont' make me happy. at least try and see if there are some ways to run it through would make me satisfied. believe this, where there is a will, there is a way. If a dealer wanted to, and someone's already said they had theirs warrantied, they will and can do it for you. I would love an alternative, but the 1800 bones that is being offered on the aftermarket chormolly option is a little out of the price range. Nothing against' the producer of said product, if it was half that I would prob make the switch.

yes i was shocked at the price too is cromo that pricey looks like a bit of work but seems high.

Does anyone want to sell me there bent subframes, I MIGHT be interested if they are not to bent up. My buddy and I can fabricate alot of stuff, maybe we can fabricate one of these and sell them cheaper way cheaper than yamaha, I want some bent ones to see where the week spots are. Thanks

That sucks to hear man. I wouldnt give up on this on. That is BS. Sounds like Yamaha is acting a little like doo. Kind of dissapointing.

the dealer that is trying to get this warrantied has gone out of his way to get this done even to the point of getting hung up on himself. IF I have him put the original bent one back under it then he eats all the labor on the new one so he is trying to get Yamaha to step up. I agree on the chromo frame way to expensive for me not even an option right now. Its a nice product but, its over twice what a complete front end costs made out of the same stuff. I dont mean to offend, I am sure there was a lot of time building a jig to build them, but once that is done should be quick to make, could be wrong. I agre with having a weak point somewhere else a shear point on the spindle or something, a major structural component should not bend before the suspension moves.

i know of a few guys that i ride with nytros inclueding me, and all of ours are bent, and does anyone know where to get a little cheaper subframe because i just cant justify $1800 for a subframe, way outta my price range

my A arms are tweaked a bit after i hooked my ski scratcher(OOPS) on my doorway into the shop.
but it'll still hand the Doo's a whoopin' & will be on the snow long after they're in the shop again!!!
Now go hijack someone else's thread PUD:confused:

I heard about two subframes bending in my area both were covered. I guess its how you get along with your dealer alot of the time. With the title of the thread I think he can be alittle bit of a hot head.my 2 cents. And for pud only wishes he could ride a yamaha and not his mons sled.

I keep my cool for three days and a number of phone calls but there is a point when enough is enough, what would you have done? I posted this thread with said title to get some attention and look it worked

1,500 km and no bent anything, and no worn out front end. Even hit a tree or two, my riding buddy has same K and hit a irrigation pipe with his MTX and all is well. Seems hit and miss on these subframes - literally.
