Yamaha apex or ski-doo summit???

I KNOW THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2. my dad was sayin that people who have turbos that hes talked to, always have problems with them. but i watch thunderstuck and it seems like they all have apex turbos and not the summits. is the apex a 4 stoke? and the gas situation...can your ride all day like you can on a non turboed sled? i would just think you would have less time to ride but more hp obviously and faster too.. my budget is way under $20k. im prolly gunna go used. i have been riding an '07 summit adrenaline 151" and just fell in love with it. i guess what im just tryin to get at is am i gunna been throwing *** loads of money into fixing a turboed sled vs my summit where i have had NO problems, and am i gunna be using a **** ton more gas?

and i do alot of back country DEEP powder riding and hillclimbing.

do not compare what you see in video's to what you may buy. thoughs sleds are built for max power! there no pump gas turbo.

get the apex stuck once by yourself:) the weight difference is just too great to make any comparison. think i'd rather have the doo in any condition except for climbing, nothing touches a 350+hp apex. they are just unreal...

apex/summit

Not really sure why your comparing Apex and Summit. Nytro and summit is much closer comparison in terms of handling and rider position. Nytro is heavy and summit is not so heavy. There are easy ways to get unstuck no matter what you drive. If you ride a turbo with friends who don't, you'll have to figure out how to get unstuck without help. They won't get to you if your climbing steep stuff. Modding sleds is a big drain on the wallet no matter what sled you have so don't start something you can't finish. Sleds are no different than RV's quads or boats. All parts and after market stuff is very spendy. Yes' Ive had two summits and three other rev chassis sleds. They been mostly good to me but I'll not go back to them.

Why are we even comparing the two and talking about turboing anything. He already said his budget was well under $20K, so you can throw "turbo" anything out the window becuz no one I know owns a turbo with less than $20K into it (no one that doesn't know how to tune it that's for sure).

Like carbondaddy said, if you are questioning if the Apex is a 4S, you have lots of learning to do (not a bad thing - but a turbo is probably not for your then) - stick to stock and keep the hood panels shut.

If you are comparing everything you have to something you saw in a video, you will be very dissappointed in life, my advice is that you don't watch any movies starring Ron Jeremy.
