Im not looking to start problems, and i know its going to, but there are some things that need to be said about how these guys run there business. They started going to mountain fit to get there mud flaps cut, which mtn fit didnt charge them for any of the time they spent cutting them, they just did it to help out a new business. People may or may not know that modrods was buying there product from mountain fit at the begining of last winter and the winter before. What a lot of people dont know is that the owner of mountain fit opened them into his shop and showed them the ropes. Modrods soon took all the same templates else where and started getting there frames made by someone else. We all understand in the business, that happenes. The part that set me off was when they called to get a booth at puyallup they told the cordinator mtn fit wouldnt be comming this year, which is a lie. The other sad part of the story is they are way less into there kits by going to the new guy but there prices are still as high as they were before, and they could of atleast changed the designs or material so they werent the exact same product. Dont know if anyone cares but i know i wont do business with people like this. And for a little heads up expect to see discounts at snow showes from mountian fit, cause they wont be under sold by modrods. If im incorrect on anything i said feel free to call me out on it.

Like i said in my post. if i was incorrect on anything that i said please post a reply calling me out on what was wrong. This sounds like the same thing logger155 said a few months ago. And im not bashing anyone, i just dont like the way you guys do business. First you screw the people helping you, whos next your customers. Its happened one to many times.

I have had nothing but good dealings with modrods, they are great guys, they have good prices, excellent customer service. Just my experience.

Yes i to used to think they were great guys

A little Back ground info........

I met Brad and Brian through a Friend that has known their dad for years. Two years ago they came to my shop with a idea for a snowflap that looked like a set of nuts, Brian then brought by a drawing of the nuts, No logo. From that point I recreated the flap in a design program and then created a logo, wrote a g-code program so it could be cut on my cnc router, developed a hold down system, and then cut a prototype. I do not have time to build the flaps so i would allow the boys to come cut the flaps on my cnc when it was not in use. Over a year period they cut close to 200 flaps. I never charged them a dime! I used to be a very nice guy.

While spending time at my shop they asked about becoming a dealer for my product line MOUNTAIN FIT HOODS. I set them up as a dealer as long as they could sell enough volume.AT that time they started selling my product as their own.
Over the next year i helped them as much as i could including paying for 1/2 of a booth for them at puyallup, so they wouldn't be stuck in the swap area, then gave them part of my booth space at jackson hole no charge.

So after hanging out at my shop for over a year they had learned where to get the abs, the mesh, the rivets, and the process of Assembly. At this point they took my product to a water jet company and had the design copied, then started producing their own vents. At this time I gave them the boot.

The facts are...............................................

I helped them out when ever possible.

Mod Rods had no hand in developing the vents they now copy and sell.

At no time did mod rods produce the vents, hoods, headlight deletes, and running boards that they used to sell.

If you really want to get to KNOW the boys go back and look at their past post about the product that they swore they were bulding.

So if screwing the guy that was helping you out by copying his product makes you great guys then yes THEY ARE REALLY GREAT GUYS.

TO bad sounds like it could have been a good deal! sounds like they where moving product and making customers happy.I know the prices I saw where crazy cheap. I have heard and had a hard time getting in touch with Mtn fit. in the past so a dealer that was making it work better should have been a good thing for everyone.

I dont see why you would have the need to call mtn fit, we all know your friends with and ride with the modramrod guys, they should have everything you need. And none of us are bashing anyone we are just telling it how it is, and if were wrong have them get on here and tell us how it was, for the world to see. With them not saying anything or pointing out how they think we are wrong, its just showing everyone there true colors.

Its funny the first 4 people that got on this post and praised how great they are, are all there friends and riding buddies, and they might have had 1 or 2 actual satisfied customers say anything good.

So the guy from Minnesota rides with the modrod guys? I find that hard to believe. I've never rode with any of the modrod guys, nor do I know of any of this information. The small amount that I've been around them they seem like stand up guys.
