Looks good Teeroy...I could have used this mod yesterday. Powder up to the bars all day in North Idaho. I have never seen this much powder before.

Guys...those mods are real cool but all we need to do is build a flow guard or wing or reverse scoop or something...we used to duct tape cardboard flaps over vents to let the snow blow over in deep dry powder days. Somebody (RPM Composites makes a first class looking carbon fiber backwards scoop...but we could tape down some cardboard on those days. Goose

never enough air

I have been riding for the last two days in five feet of fluff and you can never get enough air. I have and highly recommend the rpm deflector, you can watch the snow flow overtop of it. The intake still does get plugged but not as bad and what do you expect when the whole sled is completely under the snow. I also have two florites in the backside of my airbox and they also definitley help. blah blah blah temperature sensor. The sled is starving for air and is getting a little from the stock intake and a little from the bypass and a little from the florites, the temperature is not that different. You still need more air, yes the colder the better. With the deflector and the florites my sled never missed a beat, not one bog but it still needs more air, it wouldn't make full power after bombing around in the bottomless fluff. Teeroy is on the right track I just don't know where to draw air from, above the gauges is one of the first places that gets covered in snow.

I love my Timbersled kit, I am going to jet bigger though. Going to try a 500 main, seems a little lean with the stock 490. Bogged one time today with handlebar snow all day! Avalanche danger is huge!!!!!................

JUST A REMINDER GUYS, PRACTICE YOUR BEACON WHEN YOU GO OUT, 5 MINUTES PER TRIP MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE!
