XP and $800 whats the best bang for my ducks?

I have a 154” 800x and just laundered 800 bucks form the misses. What is the best bang for that amount of cash? Everything is stock except for a big diet and hps can. I ride 80% in the trees and meadows from 9000’- 12000’. Can decide which direction to take motor or drive? What to do?

Head w/appropriate comp ratio, along with a re-gear & clutch tuning. You should have $$$ to spare...

Trygstag head,some clutching with the kind of riding you do this really works good. You cant really tell to much of a difference on the top end but holy sh*t does it make a noticable diff in midrange right wear you need it when things get tight. Then take left over $ and set aside for when you tweak the frond end on some tree lol! Anyway hope you enjoy whatever you decide to do.

X cat guy. I converted and then brought Snowdrew00 to the DOO side. He is used to dumping piles of cash into a cat to make it perform. His XP rips and he has extra cash in his pocket. I want him to save it for post ride beverages.:beer;:beer;

2strokeheads.com run one of RKT's heads, they make you power. 2 cool airvents is a great investment, and intake as well, also maybe drop a tooth on the gearing if you havent already, other than that, its not really worth anything else. should be solid

Good news

You are in Colorado... $800 will go a long way to get the best setup for high mountain riding. Felkers in Loveland can give you the best bang for the buck. Don't be fooled by all the after market gizmos. Start with the best setup. You wont reget it.

DJ's clutching. $300ish

Get the heat out, venting. Hood Vent $85, Maxflow vent $50

You gotta carry your stuff. Rack $130, Bag $50, Jerry can $100 or use a Gereric can with this rack and save $
VMI rack, snobunje bag, Rev jerry can.jpg

A guy has to eat. HotPot $35

Total $ 750

Went with this head and BJ's tower brace so far now, need to figure out clutching and I should be good to go for a while. I will buy next sled from felkers for sure but he pretty much hooks up his customers, completely understandable and lesson learned. Anyone else from colorado that knows clutching and likes beer? Oh and already have 19 tooth and safety crap, muff pot was the first mod i did

Post Ride beverages my *** you just want to keep up! I doo owe the doo part to deadcat, Rode cats for 20+ years and I had more fun this year than ever, even with 4 blown belts! Then again we did have the best snow conditions in 20 years:D My avator is deadcat and I at 12,900'..

You souldn't be blowing belts if your alignment & clutching is right. You need to doo a search on clutch alignement to make sure. There are several way to go if not. Then clutching which is a must on all stock sleds. Then get the heat out with some kind of venting. My XP went all year on 1- 166 belt that still looked good and at the end of the season I traded it in on a 377 for free.

my belt only blew when there was 3 ft of fresh and WOT for +10min, at that point you just don't care how much a belt cost or that it may come apart. This happened allot in Colorado last year and i would not trade the sled for anything. I vented the clutch side last year and seemed to help but she still got water boiling hot. Mountain passes got 2" yesterday! Wont last for another 10 hours but it was beautiful to see and I am even more excited for winter!!

I'm going to buy a 2006 style clutch for $829.00 this fall if Skidoo dosn't come out with any fix for it. Tried all last winter to make the primary work without any success.
