So when predicting snow you take the lowest predicted numbers, 4+4+2=10inches/2 and that will get you and accurate snow prediction = (5inches) Whats with everyone's attitude on the internet..... Think i care.....

"its over Johnny"...gonna be an early quad/dirt bike season....sending in the jet ski registrations today, im grabbing another gear and tired of ripping parts off my sled.

the good news is lake mchay will start to go down and we can storm the beachfront again...lost all our sand last year with the high water

got to play the cards your delt, onward...

Hey I'm from Nebraska and looking for a place to ride that acctualy has snow. I normally ride in the snowies but the snow is no good there. Where is this storm you guys are talking about gona hit and what is the riding place called? Might just have to load the sled up and come ride. Thanks

I have the opposite experience...they predict 8 we get 12..so should be a few feet by Tuesday.

Let the Spring riding begin!

We do love sledding. But when the base has dropped 20 plus inches in the last couple of weeks (where we ride) and the stronger storm track is going way South of that area and that area is only expected to get a few inches out of the system it's depressing. Chasing the snow is only possible for those who can do it. I can't just drop what I'm doing to nail the 24" of powder that WC will get, I have to submit time off and have it approved through Senior Supervisors. I don't know what other's jobs are like.

But I do know that RE/Buff is FAR BELOW average for precip. It's even lower than 2009 when we had that last horrible year. At least that season was somewhat salvaged by late Spring snowfall. March, historically is one of the snowiest months and other than that snowfall the first week of March (the 4th, to be exact) it has been snowless. Nothing but sun and wind. While that makes it great weather to take the bike out, wash cars and do yard work but sledding is hard to do. I don't know about other guys but I don't enjoy riding hardpack and mush in the Spring. It's still fun to be out, but I'd rather load up the bike and go ride the dirt. It's more fun than cruising around on hard snow. And with the weak snowpack we had and the massive meltdown it makes for more dangerous conditions. At least that's my take.
