It is interesting the lack of enthusiasm from the Admin on this subject...

You looking to help get the site to grow, THIS IS IT. The advent of powder hunger for skiers and snowboarders is continually pushing them outside of the ski resorts. I think 50% of the people I have ridden with started on ski's and snowboards, and still do.

Lush, tomMTX, you guys might have to spread the word to get people to actually POST a response here..

With that being said count me in, I don't ski, I don't board and I most likely never will....but I like pics and boarders/skiers have good pics.

And lets be honest, the more people we have using sleds in the backcountry is the more people we have who are fighting Wilderness and other BS crap. A guy who skies might have been against sleds in the hills...but now that he is using a sled to get back there and up the hill he is gonna be for sleds. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I went through the entire thread and COUNTED all the supporters and posted it so you guys would know how close you are!

All I asked for was a TINY ITSY BITSY 50 members out of 50,000 to kick off a new forum.

i'll setup premium member status this week sometime..

once the snow starts flying the amount of viewers more than triples here.. that would help

i garauntee 25 supporters now, if it happens would be alot more down the road. 25 supporters have 25 friends atleast because you can't go ride or atleast very effectively with only 1 rider, 2 is needed .. 25 is a good start for this time of yr i think, and if the new forum was placed on the main page for visibility it would get nailed alot more.

it would be cool but like said before dont expect people to give up there riding areas especially if they think they are secret
i dont do it to much anymore but its how i got into sledding

True, I guess I was pretty harsh. It just seems to get 50 people to respond and post can be difficult, especially when it seems like very few people even respond to polls, out of those who look at them.

I do appreciate the ability of admin to respond to its members requests for additions..

I will try to be a jerk less.. maybe just a little less..

i think we broke the 30 mark..

like is said this will grow substantially if a forum is created..

the statistics of lurkers to posters usually increase when the snow flies.. but also the amount of lurkers grows as well.. either way this type of forum makes the whole site more inviting to a broader group i think
