i know, its really suprised me the popularity come christmas. you should have shopped a month or two ago, there were alot available. at least up here. my gf bought one then. people up here that can find them are trying to sell them on CL for 4-600 bucks, which is a ridiculous markup if you ask me, but i guess its supply and demand. people trying to make an easy buck off others. if they would just let the people that actually want them buy them. dont pay that kind of money, just wait till after christmas when its not a big deal anymore. just my .02.

Sister and BIL picked up 5 this morning. All are on ebay. Expect to make roughly 100-150 a piece by selling on ebay.
Wife got up at 5:00 Am went to Best Buy with the neighbor they were # 59 and 60 in line at 6:00 Am WTF people are crazy. The guy at the front of the line was their at Midnight. They had 94 in stock, so my kids will be happy Christmas Morning.

Wii's while popular, dont even come close to the Nintendo DS. Nintendo is selling 1 DS every 5 seconds right now, 6 million last month alone. They are approaching 60,000,000 units sold. World wide Wii sales are in the 9 mill range?

Wife was in Walmart in October, and saw a guy stocking a few Wii's onto the shelf. He said there were only 6 available. She bought all 6 and we just finished selling the last on on Craigs List for $150/each over what we paid for them.

Jeff, no offense but that is wrong! Imagine if you were a parent and you had only a certain budget to spend and your kid REALLY wanted a Wii. You have decided to buy one for him and you head to the store only to find out that some lady just bought all of them, just to make a quick buck! She didn't even want one at all.
I am a father of one, but thankfully he is too young to want something like that yet but I don't have long to wait before he does start wanting that stuff!
I am all for making extra cash but I don't believe in buying something at one price and then selling it for 150-200 bucks more than what it is worth! I ran into that same problem during the World Series, luckily one of my clients came through with tickets for me!
Things are tough on people right now. The economy is slipping, the Stock Market isn't doing so hot right now, gas prices are forcing folks to make decisions that they shouldn't have to make, the housing market is tanking across the nation and people have been getting laid off. Maybe somebody saved the entire year for one, just to make their kids Xmas a little brighter and then they cannot even get one because there are people out there that buy more than one, just to turn a profit! That is greed! And it certainly isn't fair. Just because your wife can afford to buy SIX of them doesn't make it OK! You are obviously one of the lucky people that seem to be doing well for yourself right now, you just screwed 6 people out of their hard earned money. Somewhere there is a father who just paid that extra amount of dough for that Wii and now he has to figure out a way to make up for it! Maybe he has to pull a few double shifts, therefore missing out on quality family time. I would go to the ends of the Earth and I would do anything to make my child's dreams come true. I too, am one of the lucky ones that is doing well right now, but the bottom could fall out anytime and I hate having to pay extra for something because that just takes away from the nest egg and the education fund.
I am not trying to be hateful, or to start a bashing post at all! I just think that it is wrong to do that. I cannot remember the word for it right now, it'll come to me later.
Remember a while ago, during the hurricane season and some refineries got wiped out. The very next day gas stations were selling gas for way more than what it was supposed to be! They got in BIG TROUBLE! I would be willing to bet that you have complained about gas prices sometime in the last year, especially if you drive a diesel! What the gas stations are doing is the same thing that you have done!
This is my opinion and that's it! Not wanting to start a war or anything, just voicing my feelings (Notice I never used any foul language or name calling)

Yep, It's amazing how impatient people are just wait till January and ta der you can buy them.
There's a guy in Billings on ebay who has sold 30 already and he still has 18 listed. Most sold for over $450.
Dude oughta get his azzz kicked. these are the same azzhats that were snapping up Hannah Montana and World Series tix and then selling them for big money, it's cool for everyone but the people that end up having to tell their kids that they can't get one (go to the game, or concert) because of the almighty dollar.
Nothing like being able to step on your fellow man to get a little higher. Karma, man, karma. People that use the excuse of capitalism know what they did and feel a little guilty. Yep, capitalism, the excuse for robbing from the poor to give to the rich.... love it.
