Well, your neg was on a post joking about how CB has been guiding on Jones where there is some AUSM snowcrust... and some sweet rocks. I can just see him scheming right now to come steal all my windcrust... that bastird...

As to the customers though...

IMO, people come to ride with Chris, not specifically to ride a particular area, so I wouldn't think that his 6-8 custies for any given day would affect the other guide services in any way other than a couple more tracks & a few less spots in a lot.

If we're just talking about impact from him riding out of his "permitted area"... I can't see where there is much of one. Now CHOOSING BBC over a togwtwotweewee guide company, or some company on the mesa, or whoever on the other hand, that I could see having some impact, but I don't think that's the issue here is it?

I'm actually curious what really IS the harm? The only thing I can see is the "play fair" side of things, where guide company X has to guide in their zone, good or bad, so he should have to do the same. From a standpoint of fairness I get that, but I just don't think it's THAT big a deal. Maybe I'm wrong, since a lot of people seem to think it is?

Personally I could care less, I know what it's like to deal with the forest circus, and I don't wish that hell upon even Satan himself!!!

BUT... I can see how other outfitters (despite not agreeing with my dog & pony assessment of their tours...) who HAVE gone through all the BS, or one that is trying to, would be frustrated with the fact that someone isn't playing on the same level that they are.

I hope he's finding snow for his custies, so that they come back next year & the year after!!! In the bigger picture I think it's good for the sport & good for the state.

The trail tours on the other hand I can't say are good for us at all. Look at good times in Breck... now their "area" is going to be shut down to anyone off trail... WTF? If there was an op like BBA out there, I think it would be a very different story.
