Will there be a 2011 144" Switchback?

Has anybody heard if Polaris will bring back the 144" Switchback for 2011?I think Polaris made a BIG mistake going to a 136",the 144" is a better all around length track in my opinion.I have a 2007 Switchback with the 144" track and I love it,great deep powder performance, awesome traction and acceleration with the 144" just an all around great sled.

I know that ALOT of guys love the 136 rather than the 144 where i ride. My dealer sells more 136 switchbacks than almost anything else. For years the 144 has been considered a "mountain track"- but when they introduced the 136 with the 1.25 track people just ate it up. I think the midwest is a great fit for the 136 but i can understand why guys out west would want the 144. Having a 163, 155, 146, 144, 136, and 121 gives the consumer every option in the book. Having two models in the 144 would take away from the guys who want something more for the trail and occasional drift busting. I would say a simple fix would be to offer different track options for the 144- or any model for that matter.

I think the 144 option has really been eaten up by the rmks and the assaults so really i don't think it makes much sense for polaris to have 3 models for the same track(and yes i realize only the assault comes in 800cc with 144). But the 136 seems to be the only class without a 136(or perhaps im just ignorant)

IMO the assault is the best switchback ever made good for trails good for powder. I live in mn and go west every year its not the best at either but good all around plus it wont bottom out like my brothers switchback.
Its an agresive mans switchback I guess thats my 2 cents.

the switch will stay 136 coupled for those who ride mainly trail with some off trail. anyone that wants a 144 uncoupled i think is directed to get a rmk 144 or assault, they even offered a flat land kit for the assault. most that want a 144 are mainly offtrail non mountain riders so the rmk is fine.

the thing i think we will see is a 136 switchback assault for 2011

A "flatlander Assault" is much needed for the low elevation boondockers.

Start essentially with the Dragon Switchback front end, with the wide stance and drag-link sway-bar and WE air shocks ala RMK Assault. 146"x 1-5/8" stiff durometer track, 2.86" pitch, full WE air shocks in the rear, with no torsion springs. New the market, "quick disconnect" coupling on the rear suspension to allow variety between trail bashing and off-trail excursions. Finally, Pro-taper bars and some sort of hybrid wider ski.

600 and 800 engines for this beast!
