Will the 2014 Polaris be as disappointing as the new Cat, Yammi and Doo?

Quick question say Polaris fixed the belt drive system and the axle shaft, do all the '13 owners get free replacements or is that just part of R&D and thanks for buying a '13. Or get there money back on the '13
Honest answers please!

Nope. The standard was set with the 900's, then the CFI 4 800's. Plausible denial. The OEM's are really good at looking forward to new customers, the sun is always shining, and looking backwards at a dark cloud just cost money. The 4 yr warranty in 2011 was the most you'll ever get from poo that they really screwed up in the past. If they didn't have their marketshare shattered - they got absolutely crushed by the other three - that wouldn't have happened, either.

What if the snow checks '14 were the same cfi motors and then they released a di800 motor mid season. But you had to have the snow check do you get the mod season motor when that's released or are you stuck with the snow check

If they don't release a DI in March, they won't until next January at the earliest. Their dealers would put contracts out on the rep's lives.

Forget about free replacements or money back.

Even if they said, kept the same motor but found a better control/ecu mid season. Would they give you the new ecu or you think you'd have to buy it.

it will have a redesigned driveshaft for 2014, with 3" pitch drivers. brake disc located on the driveshaft for lower c.o.g. and less belt stress. 3" camoplast extreme on pro 800s. snowcheck buyers will get black rails/tunnel.

Sorry, I will stop derailing this thread, I was just trying to prove something with the 910 crap going on. None of us think that we should be given any upgrade or money back because a company through R&D finds out a better way to make something work. Even Polaris claims 154 hp but many of use know that they don't produce that. It's not whats advertised but we deal with it and enjoy the sled we get. You can t even get different weights if your sled doesn't run right but we fork out the extra money so it will. We pay 13k on a sled that might not be advertised completely 100 percent truthful, and we take a chance that it will run as promised. Does it always, not always. You can read on these forums people have problems. Does everyone get there free warranty work, not always.
. My point is sledding is an expensive hobby with no guarantees, you hope you get the cream of the crop, and hope that your the first guy with the new sled on the hill tearing it up, but maybe being the first guy you get the under tested, not quite fully perfected sled. Will a dealership help you out with a problem, must likely they want your business, would they help you out if you made them angry with you. Probably not as promptly. I think we need to remember sledding right now is going through some big advances in technology and you can buy today and tomorrow it's outdated. A level head will go a long way in this sport!
Sorry for my gospel on here. Come on march 4th lets see what Polaris has for us this year!!!

I figured that was where you were headed... Dont pollute the rest of this forum with the par 910 problems, keep it where it belongs.

Lets see a 385lb sled with 150 hp direct injection and NO WARRANTY like it or leave it. They would sell a lot of them to die hard powder riders.

If the chassis didn't sacrifice any strength or durability....I'm all for it.

I'd be in for something like that... Or maybe a 30 day warranty like you get on factory mx bike.

I also want powder coating and a QD that doesn't suck. I will take more but I think that's a good bare min.

How about a 146 pro rmk? I would love to see that. Maybe I'll just have to do what Darcy did, he did an awesome job with his.

i'd Pay 9,999.00 OTD!!!
and if I want new pistons or turbo or? ECT, Just Do It!
No warranty?
hmmm Just like a CR, YZ, KX, 125/250 MX bike right?
then you could buy 2 and a two place for 25K OTD and ride like MAD
2014 hmm yeah id snow check another
they can still make the fun sleds with normal warranty.
your indy's and indy tour and a indy Supersport 550's 121" 136"
all good value sled bang for your buck
ok yeah great
then make 3 or 5 models?
(121" 136" 144" 155" 163) with the Pro Comp package
Snowcheck only and NO WARRANTY! $7999. 8499. 8999. 9499. 9999. ($500 less for a 600) like the shift ?
would that sell?
2014 hmm see monday in AZ, come on Phoenix!

Just give me a reliable sled from front to rear and I'd be all over it. I ride a 300hp boat anchor, that I never have to touch, but it's a bitch to boondock with the pro's. Is that really asking too much? Best of both worlds, turboed yammi and a stock reliable pro.
