Okay time to sound like a salesman------ The early IQ's 05-06,700&900 were great sleds, always get you home and polaris stood behind the recalls, still do. Also in 2006 the start of a great begining for polaris in my eyes was the 600 rmk 144". these sleds took one hand on the rope and another on the throttle start, but were awesome sleds in every other way. Then came the RAW chassis for 07 in a 600rmk 144"or 155" track and also the 700dragon 155",these were really awesome sleds. The carb models[600] still need two hands to start but not quite as often. The 700 dragon is efi ,and as noted 140 hp. which got the 800 summit boys a second look special when a girl passed them. Then for 2008 polaris introduced the same previous line up and include a efi 600 rmk 155" model [very easy to start ] and also the 800rmk in 155" or 163". Also for 2008 the 700 was 155" or 163". To answer your ? the earlier 600 is a good buy, but for more power and efi get a700.![]()
I'm selling my 600 Edge 144 for a 700 RMK (I guess RAW instead of the IQ after all the advice here). So does the RAW chassis come in a 700 RMK? I don't really want a track longer than 155.
Stuff I think I want:
2007 or 2008 700
Track length 144 to 155
RMK (or Dragon if shocks aren't the pain I was told they were)
RAW chassis
EFI or carb??? It sounds like EFI is easier to start, but harder to fix on the trail?? I can start my 600 Edge by myself cold (carb) most times.
It's amazing how you guys can memorize all the stats on all the different sleds when my head is swimming!
