Why is Obama a socialist?

I TOTALLY AGREE ! so can every business stop paying unemployment insurance?

I think that is completely different even though it is called insurance, but yes, I do agree that there should not be a thing called unemployment insurance.

I don't like the idea of people being paid not to work.... People should self insure themselves by having a large emergency fund.

food prices are going up. Probly to help pay for these wars? its $10 a lb for deli meat for us here in wa at Safeway...

whats so different between then and now? different laws in the country? better technology?

the big picture is alot of people cant afford to live. so people get on food stamps. there may be additional differences, but still very similar with the big picture in my eyes...

hitler also staged a fake terrorist attack as a reason to act. Burned down one of the political buildings.

When deli meat gets to $45 a lb get back to me.

Do you really buy into the 9/11 Government was behind it theory? Why am I not surprised? Sorry but our government isn't capable of pulling that off.

Either way, your Nazi/Socialist ties with our government are laughable. We are so far from socialism that it is comical when people link the two together.

your right it is completely different ! its an expense that is not deductable and only benefits people who no longer work

at least health ins. is mutually benificial for both parties

if you want, i can start a 9/11 conspsiracy theory thread and see who can debunk who's theory. im sure i will win. im actually almost 100% positive. so are many architects and engineers.

our government isnt capable of pulling what off? a staged terrorist attack? before i start the 9/11 conspiracy thread, answer me this. why the hell would bush lie about what he saw, when he saw it in his statements about 9/11??

I never buy meet for more then 5 bucks a pound. Cheese is limited to 4 bucks a pound. You can't get those prices at the deli counter though...

So does all this deli meat talk mean he is not a socialist? lol

First clue.... He routinely attended conferences by the Democratic Socialists of America while in college (or so he says in his book)...where they served lunch meat.

Obviously we are quite a long way from pure socialism, but it seems everything he has done and wants to do involves more regulation, more govt involvement in private business ( they controlled the fait of GM and Chrysler and rewarded the unions in the process), higher taxes on the wealthy, more handouts for those that do not contribute, more "stimulus", appointing FAR left individuals at every opportunity often circumventing the normal vetting process, govt involvement in healthcare (scary to say the least)....all steps in the direction of socialism.
Govt needs to regulate and have some control but as regulations and involvement in our everyday lives grow, at some point more and more people become dependent on these things. At what point do we call it socialism?
I think less is more when it comes to govt involvement. They are proven inefficient. I can stimulate the economy and provide more jobs with my money than the govt can.

hasn't that control ended?
higher taxes on the wealthy
they have actually been the same as when Bush was in office. The Bush tax cuts have been extended, right?
more handouts for those that do not contribute
what handouts are those? What rules were changed to enable more handouts?
more "stimulus", appointing FAR left individuals at every opportunity often circumventing the normal vetting process,
ok, I will give you some of those..
govt involvement in healthcare (scary to say the least)....all steps in the direction of socialism.
hasn't govt been involved in health care ever since it allowed businesses to defer to cost it gives to employees on its taxes? I would love to see that removed...
