Why is Obama a socialist?

What are your reasonings for thinking that Obama is a socialist? If you could give specific examples of things that have been passed / changed, or other things that he has done, that would be helpful.

My main beef with him is that he didn't fight against congress hard enough to get his agenda passed. Congress, the root of all evil... Obama for dictator.. lol.

I dont think he any more socialist than the rest. They are all scum! I assume when you say congress you geneally mean congress and the senate Right? ( see" root of all evil") he is a former senator that did Nothing( we can prove that ) and got a promotion for it. Seems like the american way If you ask me. ? really big? Bigger than what? Income tax levels for the rich have been the lowest they are in a long time. Do you have any other specifics?

I think we should either have a single payer system, or a completely open system. We have three systems right now. Those that have insurance from their company, those that have insurance on their own, and those that have it from the government. Right now, the people that have to provide for it on their own are getting screwed...

Do you think companies should be able to deduct medical insurance costs from their tax liability? IMO, that should be removed. I would like to see that no companies pay for health insurance.. They don't buy my car insurance.. why do they buy my health insurance..

ALL FORMS OF TAXATION is wealth re-distribution. We wouldn't need to tax if we could all afford the stuff taxes pay for.

Health insurance needs to be controlled somehow. There is no reason this country should have the number of people un-insured. I am not talking about people who are lazy and won't work. I am talking about people who work and still have no insurance.

food prices are going up. Probly to help pay for these wars? its $10 a lb for deli meat for us here in wa at Safeway...

whats so different between then and now? different laws in the country? better technology?

the big picture is alot of people cant afford to live. so people get on food stamps. there may be additional differences, but still very similar with the big picture in my eyes...

yes! its an expense just like anything else . if your employer would offer auto ins at 50% of what you pay now wouldnt you get it there? thats just simply about the group size.

I don't think any businesses should be involved with any of my insurance. I also don't like the government subsidizing (via tax breaks) health care for its workers.

Hard to compare auto insurance to health insurance. Not having car insurance makes you subject to fines and penalties. Not having car insurance leaves you with no car when you total or wreck it. It makes life pretty hard on you without insurance in this case. If a person doesn't have health insurance and they go to the emergency room, they will still get the care that they need and then simply get a bill that they may or may not pay.

Not to mention the fact that my individual health care premuims are twice as much as my auto/boat/sled insurance and the deductables are 3 times higher!

I was simply making a point about how employers offering insurance is a benefit to its employees

I pay more per month for me and my 2 kids than emploees at my largest customer pay in a year . Their insurace is way better than I could possibly afford .
