whos still riding the mountain max!!

This thread almost brings tears to my eyes. If Yamaha would have made this engine around a 8 to 900, lightened that sled up a touch, it would still be the best mountain sled on the snow, for all around riding. They are fun. ...

EXACTLY!!!

I should build another one, out of a UB 944 base...

Or a 777 or 770 whatever you used to build...and them one for me :)

BTW: Nice to see you back on the forums

Thanks man! Good to be back. Yeah, they were 770s. It was a decent kit I think.
I have freinds bugging me to start building Turbo kits for the Nitros and stuff, but I dont know that I would want to get that serious. Sure is tempting though.

It's funny.
Yamaha hasn't made the 700 triple in some years now,
and it's still the most popular throttle cable set that I sell.
Even more than for all the new sleds.
That tells me that people are definately still riding them.

Pic of a buddy's It left the stable a few years ago. Sometimes I guess you have to move on. Gotta love the Yami tripple.

'00 with a 156, Power Inc center dumps, a little bit of other stuff...

What are you guys running for a helix? For boondocking and a lil climbing.

I am thinking about a dual angle helix, around 48-40 or 46-40.

On a 02 700
Now with:
.8 alum inner and outer weights
stock springs/stock helix
Bender Triples
151 Challenger
20 tooth top gear
Around 6000-11,000 feet

I am still riding mine!

the motor is stock, it had about 9500km's on it and i havent got the top end done in 5+ years lol. I am redoing it this season.

Its got a 4" powermadd riser and 136-151 extension with a camoplast challenger 2.25.

anyone know of DIY mods you can do to it for suspension or lightweights?

i was thinking skid mounting to get more snow clearance but someone told me it would ruin the geo of the sled unless i raised the front too.

MountainMax info

I just gathering some info for a buddy, but my questions are about your guys set ups. My buddy has a 2000 mountain max stock rear skid and track Bender tripple pipes delta force reeds. Im not exactly sure what cluch set up he is running, but I do know he has a hartman helix. Any info you guys have would be helpful.

01 MM 700T - Exhaust Issue!!

I have a 01 MM 700 T with only 1100 miles on it but I have a little issue with it. I have a set of Power Inc end dumps but I "misplaced" the exhaust flanges. I have been emailing dealers all over the country and posting on a bunch of forums looking for someone who may have a set (or even 1). May have to go back to stock because I can't afford to buy a new set of pipes for $900. Can anyone help me out with a set of Power Inc flanges or even a stock exaust for this?
Thanks for the help!
