Not me. My 08 is doing just fine. 400 miles (I just got it) and I am on the original 377 belt (the 166 started to fray so dealer gave me two 377 belt). Driveshaft is in great shape. Clutching is spot on now that I have the over-rev cured. I am impressed, it is the best sled I have ever ridden. I'll probably get a 2010.

Snow checked a Black 09' 163 X today. My wife and I ran black 08's this year and were totaly impressed. One is an X and one is an Everest, both are 154's and they worked equaly as well. Sold my Everest to a friend and decided to go with the 163 this time. I rode 3 days in deep powder with a guy who had the 163 and in the tight trees he could go just a touch slower and not get stuck. I always thought the longer track would be harder to navigate in tight spots but these sleds turn so darned tight it doesn't seem to matter...163 for me.

Thanks and Fish On!!!!!

Very tempting for sure, X model 146, 425 lbs. 154 hp. Even though I ride a doo now I'm not brand loyal at all and after checking out the others thoroughly....definitely doo.

Has there really been a lot of 08's blowing up, because i'm looking at a carryover and just trying to figure out what all is wrong with them.
Also, how did you take care of the over-rev problem and how many RPM is over-revving on them.
Also, what was the one post about that said in 09, the motors were alligned properly, were they not allinged properly in 08, or what was that about.
Thanks

I spoke to Donavon at Xtreme today and got prices on the 09's. He told me that they're going to be up at Rabbit Ears at the end of March. I plan to make the trek from TX to demo some of these bad boys. After that I hope to move from "maybe buying an '09" to "definitely."
Maybe I'll see some of you guys there.

all you need to know is the first Heli ride out is free, after that they hand you a punch card just like the coffee stand!!!! you know what that means, every10th is free!!!!

Was really tempted to snow check an 09 until my three friend with new 08s starting have issues. Now will just wait and see how it shakes out.

Guess I will just keep riding the old school mod sled......there is no substitute for cubic inches and big track speed.:light:

I really love my sled and wouldn't trade it for nothing, but an '09 black 163".:D

The 'ol lady would kill me, but the 600 for her would be great in the new chassis
