who straps their helmet??

Sunday I made both my boys strap their helmets on " Dad it's so hot, do I have to wear it?

My oldest has a nice bruise on the underside of his chin when he smacked the bars in a dip, who knows how many teeth he would be missing if his helmet had not been strapped.

not straping it on is like wearign a comdom and cutting the tip off.....not gunna do you any good when things start getting rough;) lol

I don't strap mine. You ever seen the sled movies where they crash and the helmet flies off? If it was strapped on, your head would go with it!

Seriously though, I use it like a seat belt...... all the time!

I strap mine. On the movie First Ascent ( coolest snowmobile movie ever) the guy is jumping off an drift and when he hits his helmet flies off. I think everyone should use the strap but thats just me.

I haven't seen anyone NOT strap it. But I probably wouldn't be riding with them so maybe that's why. A few weeks ago I would have been in serious trouble if I hadn't strapped mine. I would have went from a mild concussion to serious injury or worse. I was lucky.

I had this metal hook system implanted in my skull so I don't need to stinken strap. Only bummer is that when I put on my Klim cap after riding it always sits sideways, but thats how people know I'm down.

I always strap mine and if I forget then I'll notice when it's smacking against my helmet.

I have friends that don't strap their helmets, probably because they don't have the quick strap thingy. It only costs like $9 and it could save your life(vs. not strapping your helmet). I don't understand why you wouldn't strap your helmet.

Excuses, it's the same thing, helmets aren't construction hard hats so do it up right.

It just not..not saying its safe but it makes a big difference then not wearing anything.

When someone makes an irrational leap when backing up their argument it makes everything else seem less credable.

I saw a guy endo his $30,000 Apex in the pits at West Yellowstone. He didn't have his helmet strapped on, and it came flying off. He wasn't even going that fast, just hit a big hole and broke an A-arm.
