just wanted to throw out who is still riding an m7 and what all is done to it. I know these are older sleds but I love mine and I am sure other folks do as well. I am currently on an 06 LE with an 09 seat and tunnel as well as an ovs turbo and clutching, soon to have an 09 float skid (waiting to show up) a ton of vents and a 153 2.25 powerclaw this sled ran awesome once I got a full ride and started to get it dialed in. now what is everyone else on

Still running my 2005 M7 LE 162" with boost. Custom turbokit including GT2871R, Tial MV-S 38mm wastegate, RK-TEK 10,25:1 head. 800cc cylinders with M8 pistons. Bd-box. No plans of selling this bad boy

I sold a couple sleds and bought a snowbike. Now, I only have three sleds for our "family" snowmobile rides. I have been thinking about getting another sled so our whole family of four are on snowmobiles.

I have a M8 and a M5 and a 99 Yamaha Phazer 500. I am looking for another sled to fill in the whole in my fleet. The sleds I have looked at are:

M6
M7
04 Yamaha Mountain Viper
Polaris 550 RMK
Polaris 600 RMK
Polaris 700 RMK

I do love the sound of Yamaha triples but, the ride of the Mountain Maxes just didn't cut it. I think a M6 or M7 would be the best but, what do you guys think?

Rode my '06 up until last spring when I finally bit the bullet and bought a proclimb. I go back and fourth on whether i should sell the m7 cuz its been the best sled I've ever owned, 4600 miles on all original internals and still has 128 psi in each hole and hangs with or smokes most of the pre-h.o.(160+hp) 8's she's been up against.

edit: found a few pics from this past summer, besides this post needs somethin to break up all the orange and black

I just finished this old m7 for a friend.

New m8 clutches,162 3" track and a bunch of other mods and upgrades.

Nice sleds. Working on a new to me 05 that has the Cutler 1000 top end.
Can not get the 6 flash code to clear.
Adjusted the end cable to .35mm but sill a no go. The m7 cable end is not like my 1M,
7 Has a cable stop step swedged on the end, Anyone know where to measure from the cable ball back to the cable case end at the rotory housing? length to measure?
This this has been working me over with the twin pipes on and off.
I can get cable end pictures later, just need knowledgeable input.
Thanks and sorry for posting here but the tech apv sec is not very clear on 7so noww I am missing ride day's:help:

Y not just get rid of the cables and run block of or just get a set of stm valves and be done with cables

Yep do this. I had the same issue with my CPC 800, got tired of fighting it and tied em open and haven't had a problem since.
Still riding my 06 153 with a cutler 800, twin pipes, rear tunnel mod and soon to have a float skid. It surprises me it'll out climb my 10M8 most any day.

06 M7 Snopro
CPC 1000
Carbon Fiber wrapped tunnel
Boss seat
2.6 162 powerclaw
Monster single pipe
Oil injection delete
Tunnel update
Tons of other mods to lighten it up.

Very nice,
Was thinking today- wish mine was a single piped - oil delete-
non apv cabled?
Is yours converted to stm valves? heard some good of those as replacements-some bad.

I have had this problem a few times with my m7's. And having it right now with my 05. Every time its been a bad servo motor.
If I take servo motor off my 06 put on 05 problem goes away and the cables are same adjustment. Vise versa. Problem follows the servo motor. Couple times I have taken motor apart and cleaned armature and got it to work for half season. But soon as it gets wet it comes back.
I didn't like how my 06 m7 with m8 pistons, 4mmstroker and Twins ran with bdx block off plates. Didn't recover in trees as well when you chop throttle loose track speed and then nail it again it was lazy and struggled to back shift. If I increased rear spring back shift was better but I lost track speed. So went back to power valves.

05 m7 153 and 06 m7le.
Haven't found a reason to buy new sled.
06 has 8 Pistons mild port, D&D twins 10.4 clutch, 2.65 gears, nitrous, 3" camo track, Timbersled rear suspension, RK tech 38 helix
