Just interested in the discussion. Would prefer all those that only want to talk about how a 800 is superior just keep it to themselves. There is a market for 600's or they wouldn't build them!
Who rules the Mountain 600 class

Whichever you think is best in the 800 class will pretty much think the same thing about the 600 class. They have the same chassis and for the most part 600 engines are more reliable than the 800 counterparts.
I've really liked the Polaris 600s I've ridden. And I don't mean 'fun for a 600', I mean MORE fun than an 800 in the trees.
I'm actually kind of half looking for one as a backup. Mostly because of the Carl's 660 kit.
Does anyone make a big bore setup for the Cat M6000s?
It barely seems like those sleds even exist.

SSI has a higher compression head and a Pipe mod out for the M6000. Other than that I havn't found anything for them?
Yeah I think there was more of a draw for the Polaris ones because their 800 motor was so sketchy for so long. I (and a lot of other people I guess) were looking at those 660s as a way to get onto a pro chassis without the motor problems. That doesn't really apply to the cats or doos.
Now I'm kind of thinking just having the handling of a 600 motor plus just a little more juice would just be a more fun sled to ride. I've only ridden the polaris and doos though.

oh boy . . . here we go again. This will end up looking like the "who rules the 800 sled" thread. Those who ride doo doo will cheerlead for their "team". Those who ride kitty cat will rah rah for their "fav" . Guys who ride polaris will vote for their brand. . . . same ole, same ole . . . but entertaining too i guess

Like i said, my mom likes her 600 and my girlfriend liked her 700. Me, i ride an 800. Sure i could ride a 600 and i could have a lot of fun but i would never be satisfied with the power of a 600.

Dang. Finally started catching a few�� Took a lil longer than I expected tho!
I ride a 6 and have no brand loyalty. I'm on the Cat because it was an AWSOME deal last fall when I was just getting back into riding after a very long absence from the sport! If you search my past posts you will see!
Anyway. I wAs board and threw this out after a couple beers. I will say I didn't expect it to take as long as it did for the "girls sled" and "grown men on a 6" comments came out��

Back on topic: Went to a 2015 660 Pro this year and am having a blast. In the riding I have been able to do I can't see any difference between the 660 and 800 but I have not been able to get real serious due to a lack of good snow. In the trees it is a blast to ride and as many others have said, I seem fresher at the end of the day than after a day on the 800. As long as you are riding and having fun it is a good sled.

You should never mix anything with Pendleton or Crown Royal. That just ruins it. Over ice is the only way. Not sure about the best 600 but I know I sure like my Pro.
I am also riding a 660 this season, funnest sled i ever owned, dosent give up anything on a 800, I would love to try a 660 in the axys chassis
Typical male bravado !! IMHO the 800 is more sled than 50% of the men riding them can handle. It's an ego thing I'm thinking.
