who knows alpine

our crew will be makeing a trip to alpine in late march. staying at rockin m. this will be the first time in this area of WY. wondering how avaliable fuel is in the area. what fuel prices have been? any places to eat out, bars. where to ride, we like boone docking, meadows, hills nothing huge, just a direction to head not expecting to get any secret places. also is the hill climb worth going to see? any info would be great. thanks

wondering how avaliable fuel is in the area. Three stations in town, you can ride a sled to all of them, the Market is the most accessible to the trailhead

what fuel prices have been? No clue, don't pay attention since it really doesn't matter cuz you're going to buy it no matter what!!!!!

any places to eat out, bars. There are three bars in town, the Bull Moose, Tavern on the Greys, and Alpenhaus. The Alpenhaus also has a Mexican Restaurant that is good food. The Bull Moose also serves good food. There are also a handful of other places to eat, the Coffee Cabin being my favorite!

where to ride, we like boone docking, meadows, hills nothing huge, just a direction to head not expecting to get any secret places. The Greys River offers some of the best riding in the West. The trail is groomed and you can pick up a good trail map at many of the local businesses.

also is the hill climb worth going to see? Absolutely.......One of the best parties there is. There is usually some pretty good carnage also!

any info would be great. thanks Hope this helps! Have FUN......the snow has been incredible this year!

p.s. Remember Avy gear!

Alpine and Hill Climb

There is a very nice place to eat at the Flying Saddle Lodge. They have a great bar and restraunt. The Coffee Barn is great too!
There are also lots of great places to go up the Greys River. You can pick up a map at the Forest Service between the Bull Moose and Alpine Variaty. Take extra fuel if you are going to Blind Bull also known as Blind Bowl.
All the Hill Climbs are worth it. If you are in town for the Jackson Hole Snow Devils Hill Climb it runs from March 27th-30th and is the best show there is. Bring extra money for all the great deals and Beer! The Jackson Hole Snow Devils have a website with Hill climb info on it too. Hope you have a great time in our little town!

thanks for the info. sounds like we will have a GOOD time. always good to come back with one bent up, we like to say if you dont wreck your not rideing hard enough. also gives you something to talk about. only reason i asked about fuel prices is in centenial (snowies) only place to get fuel is at one of the resorts. he was getting 4.60$ a gallon. if prices are like that i will bring my own fuel. thanks again

Snows good, Bullmoose for sure, gas no problem, and the beauty of this year is I'm still riding out of my garage a couple miles to town for gas!! If you miss the hillclimb it would be like a 60's hippie missing Woodstock! Message if you want to ride. Avvy gear for sure!!!!
