At first, I wasn't happy about the new paysite, but was planning on paying for at least the first year to see how it panned out.
However, after watching this forum slide into a depression with low post count, and little to no useful content has got me rethinking. The AC tech page used to be very active with guys that had questions, and very helpful and knowledgable answers. Now it consists of a few relevant questions, mainly things that have been covered 10 times over, and people making shot in the dark answers.
I've seen posts deleted, mods making warnings acting like they are some type of authority figure (what did you get picked on in middle school). Owners of the site lie as to whether or not they own the site. The forum has been inaccessable more times than it is accessable, and the site engineer blames it on the members computer or connection. Supermods overstepping moderators decisions because paying advertisers merchandise quality was being discussed.
I'm now a member of BCR, however, I'm not real pleased with what I'm getting overthere either. There is a ton of chatbox chatter (much more than here) but little activity on the actual forum. I've made a few posts asking for help and gotten really good answers (almost immediatly) and I've helped a few people out with questions that they have had.
As it stands right now, there is no reason to pay for this site, in fact this is the first time I've logged on to make a post in 3 weeks. (My post count was over 1 post a day and my daily logon was 99% over the last 3 years).
Plain and simple, I'm not a trouble maker on this forum, I'm not a post whore, When I post, I do so to help people out or gain knowledge. With the current status of this forum, I will not be paying to stay.
