Who here uses a sled jack?

I ride an XP so the jack would practically double the weight.

So Snatchers do you just visualize a corn dog under your sled to conjour up super strength? "MUST SAVE CORN DOG!!!"

No jack, I'm straight thanks.

But I really was looking to buy something that countered all that money I spend on weight loss & got in the way of my footing, seems like a winner to me.

Disclaimer, if you ride alone like snowmark or ride one of those 4 stroke beasts, they're not THAT bad an idea.

I don't use one, nor will I. Sometimes I ride with a couple old guys that have them and to me they take too long to get ready to use, plus it restricts foot positioning. Guess maybe I'm just impatient and want to ride. I can see how they'd be handy if you had a heavy 4 stroke or are riding alone.

It will be some time before I am old or fat enough to need a jack...or at least I hope

But if you ever want to see the full potential of these jacks ride with the maker Bill. He actually carries two. Gets them off his sled and jacking away in a matter of seconds, and within a minute can have his sled 5 feet in the air, dropping it exactly where he wants it.

My thoughts exactly - UNTILL last year my nephew dropped his m8 upside down in a creek. Four of us could barely move the wedged in sled untill some very helpful out of staters came by with a jack. Long story short, I will have one this winter.
BTW, I fall into that old, fat catagory.:D

Gotta love these guys bragging about their good backs. Makes ya wonder if they ever lifted anything heavier than a pencil their whole life :face-icon-small-hap

Love my jack. I think I'm getting taller:D

Well, I lifted a Mexican a few minutes ago... heck I even THREW him off of one of our jobs. I must be strong! (says the guy sitting at his desk now eating a snack...)

Does that count?

Heavy haulers.

Think I made a ref. to the last Jack thread a year or so ago.

If not should be in here, much lighter than steel!:face-icon-small-hap

lol. just flipping the table around for a minute;) I bow to anyone who's humped drywall around. I'm pretty much a pencil pushin chair jockey too. Maybe if I did a scrap of real work every day, instead of brief periods of intense heavy lifting, I wouldn't own a jack. Still waiting for the shoulder to heal up from tearing it up playing lumberjack for an intense period of 2 weeks this summer. The jack stays on, the ridicule I'll live with. nancy b.

i think the heaviest thing i picked up all week is my $5 sandwich from subway.

humped drywall around?? Just cause I speak Spanish doesn't mean I actually touch that crap!!! Take it easy slinging around racial slurs like that!!!

jack off 2009

if your not jackin your yankin.....potential for a new event this season...let's trench'em down till the bumper hits hardpack and see who gets out first....I say no one can outyank my jackin!

I'm sure someday my back will pay for it, but for now I'll stick to throwing my xp around. Granted the 2 guys that have jacks, spend more time smoking than than riding, so it easily takes them 15 mins to get unstuck, with all the huffing and puffing they do.

Works great when I lose my group and get stuck.

Signed,
Sally.
pretty handy when your upside down in a tree well to eh :D

sorry had to do it.

I'm fat and working on old but I'm still dumb enough to lift heavy things so I'll keep going without the jack and keep yanking :p

I lifted up the azz end of my dad's 96 mountain max today. Holy Crap! I can't believe that thing is so heavy!

Ha, you all must be PROOOOOfessionals that neeeever get stuck

If you are alone they will and can save your life, I own a High jacker but if I were to get another I would get this one. http://thesnowjack.com/

Mr Harmons high jacker likes to freeze up and not function, usually at the worst possible time.

I once saw a guy use his snowjack to change the tire on his dually pick-up with a camper stuffed in the back while still hooked up to his sled trailer.

You can order direct from steve at rrpmi, free shipping to the lower 48

You only get one back in life might as well keep it in good shape as long as possible.
