Who all runs at Ak race way

Got off the dyno late lastnight, fixed some blowout issues 1st, then proceeded to throw a boatload of timing at it. Car ran out of fuel pump at about 6000rpm, and maf shortly after at 6150. You can see the breakup in the graph. Tried to work around it as much as possible to keep afr in check, but it was whackin out. AFR's are pretty safe at 11.4-11.7:1 on 116 octane which is very safe with that high of octane.

Changing maf's this week, and installing some bigger pumps. Car should see 715whp roughly then. This was at 23psi also, some other data is telling me I can spin the blower about 2-3psi and pickup some power also.

Stock 03 cobra heads, and stock cams also.....stock displacement 4.6L 281ci, I did the build myself.

Good job man, those are killer numbers! Whose dyno you runnin on???

Thanks man

Im dyno'n at Hales Technical Service over off Artic & Benson by Century 16 Theatre. Richard @ Hales who owns can do about anything you need, custom fab etc.....very nice shop. Give him a call if you need anything.

He also carries the VP MS109 unleaded there as well which is the highest unleaded octane made current. Awesome fuel.

Awesome bro!!! Cant wait to see that thing at the track. Actually I saw you tonight on muldoon. I thought it might have been you. I first spotted the intercooler, and I was hmmmmm, then when you went by i saw the plate...looks bad a$$.

So when are you goin to the track? You goin to wait till you get your bigger pump?

My camera was messin up (yes the excuse works for car **** too...not just riding) I did manage to get a couple of pulls. 1st one was with the spark blowout issues, the last one was a semi decent pull but had alot more left in it. Now that I see the video on a bigger screen, it was spinning off the hit, probably had a lil more tq reading in it too.

You get the point though.......I am uploadin it now. Rendered it in HD, takin a lil while

I try to keep it simple and clean, its hard up here. I was gonna swap to a set of slicks and skinny's, but with the ruts up here probably not gonna do it. Im gonna try and run it on a 325/45/17" Drag Radial on stock rims, and see what happens. Plus it keeps the sleeper look. I dont expect to run any better than the mid to high 10's due to the small tire out back, however the mph will be close to 140 indicative of the HP which is what im looking for.

I was out wastin pump gas lastnight trying to get it outa the tank, throwin the good stuff back in it for a while.

I can run it like it sets...on the dyno you can simulate cool temps, controlled runs. I run such high octane that it allows for a lil more headway in the AFR department, so if it does creep lean, its not really to bad, the car is tuned ultra safe. As the car makes it way down the track its not gonna be making as much power, engine temps come up, underhood temps, downstream charge temps, all of this will knock down HP some, especially with a blower car. The good thing about when I dyno'd it was pretty darn cool in the low 50's, that is about as cool as I would ever run the car anyways at the track. If I took this car to a track with elevation or 90 degree temps with high humidity, it wouldnt max the pumps or maf. Less air counts/ air isnt as dense. I try and do Altitude density calculations before I race. I can tell what it will pretty much run based off the calculation

Kick a$$! Where is it tho? I haven't read the entire thread, but I am moving to either Anchorage or Valdez in mid August. I have an old Indy Ultra on a slick track I would like to run. Once ran an 11.3 at only 100ish. Way out of tune when I ran it last August but I plan on running in MT for this summer so it should get tuned back in real well.

Bad A$$...how busy was it?

I want to make it out there soon. I got a new tune that i want to try out

not busy at all, you could of hotlapped all day long. Track was OK...there was only 2-3 cars out there that were laying down decent rubber and I was one of them. Otherwise it was kinda slippery outa the 1st 60ft. Cant complain though.

I think the car has some 10.20's or 10.1x's in it in cooler air and bigger tire.

I dont have to worry about the first 60ft lol, not making enough power yet, besides i have 4x4 lol.....when you goin again?......what are the hours of test and tune?

If you want good air, wait till labor day :D sept 7, awesome DA...last yr was like 0-200ft

I hear ya....the way these past couple summers have been, if it didnt rain, it was good air. Air will make all the difference with a blower or turbo car.......

It was about 2000ft at the time if my runs...I have ran in the negatives out there....big HP weather.

I have to get a bigger tire and take care of some fueling issues, and make sure the tech nazi's arent out on T/T again before I roll out.

Im content with the car now hahah...its settin the garage with the track #'s still on it. Time for some rehab on the leg and some downhill action on the Mountain bike :)
