which injector oil are you running

I used whtever was in the oil tank when I bought it for break in then switched to Amsoil Interceptor. I was going to look into what the difference was between that an Dominator because that is about 10$ cheaper where I live. However all my buddys think i should use iPone, i think theyre all high off the strawberry smell personally.

dry crank mountainhorse

I was ready to settle into some castrol super snowmobile for our sleds with 100:1 premix on our sleds, 2 rmk 900's and a 2011 pro.
It makes sense on the 900's to premix for the bottom ends sake and I like the pro's of the mineral.
I am in doubt as what to run in the 2011 pro. Synthetic here in canada is $50 a gallon for the shell advance synthetic which I believe very simular to the ves gold... The ves gold is $55 a gallon
Where can I find more info on this "dry crank technology" ?
Is pre mix useless in a 2011 pro ?

I have ran RED LINE for years, my dealer recommeds it. We tore into a motor a couple years ago, that had red line ran in it form the start. There was little droplets and red film all over the motor. I will never run any other oil.
I know there is other good oils out there, Blue Marble is another good one that I have seen good results out of when getting into a motor.

Klotz

in all 3 sleds
chain case fluid too

klotz for dirt bike and chain wax

Klotz for my wheelers too

you can see im a klotz guy

I typically buy it by the cases, not gallons lol

Phillips Injex Pro by the case for all of my older stuff - Polaris VES Gold, whatever the newest version is, in my 2012 Pro.

My new 800 Iron Dog sled has been fed a diet of Mystic, Polaro and Ski-Doo oils in its young life. Since Ski-Doo oil will be provided in the run and since you take what is given in an emergency, the engine had to learn diversity early. Wise guidance by the driver goes a long way. 5501iq

Castrol 2T non synthetic.... The only engines I've ever blown were run on that VES crap. They were always the rod bearings and it usually takes a couple of years. What happens is... after a few weeks of not riding, the bearings get just a little bit of rust on them and over time (usually after warranty expires) it eventually takes out a bearing. I have been running Castrol 2T now and haven't lost any engines. 6,000 miles on pro x, 4,200 on RMK 900 and 1,500 on 2012 PRO. I'm a firm believer in running non syn in my 2strokes and I'll run synthetic in my autos. But it is your engine, run what you like. :face-icon-small-coo

Blue Marble vs. Torco

I'm been running Blue Marble with great results in 7 sleds over the last 12 years. Never had a bearing problem. I just replace the pistons when it's time.

I've had 4 motors gone through by my guy "Illinois Power Sports" and has said everything looks great on the bearings. I do a normal summer storage that others may not. Just rememeber, summer storage is the most imporant part about keeping a 2 stroke motor in proper running condition. Those that have failures might not be doing summer storage.

I'm thinking of switching over to Torco. Illinois Power Sports has recommended Torco because of the chemical properties. It would be a step up from Blue Marble. He has never thought negative about Blue Marble though.

Has anyone tried Torco? It's used in MotoCross alot.

Thanks.

I run SUPER TECH from wall mart only $12.95 per gallon.:face-icon-small-hap
yep here it comes make fun of me.... I blew 6 motors:face-icon-small-sad in my dragon 800, I was run VES GOLD on all 6 motors. after the last rebuild have been running super tech and have 2 years on the motor and no sign of any wear. about 1200 miles on the sled since the switch. Know running it in my 11,12 and 13 pro with no motor problems in any of them. use to clean you exhaust valves twice a year. and as i check them finding that once a year is doing the job. so for me i will save the money and run cheap oil. it works IMHO.

X2! This is all I have run in my last 4 sleds too! I also run 1 oz. per gallon in the tank. I just smile when all my buddies fork out as much for 1 gallon of ves gold as I do for 4 gallons of super tech. My exhaust valves stay just as clean if not cleaner and the stuff doesn't smell awful either! Laugh all you want at me and say " I fork out 12 grand for a sled so I can afford expensive oil" but this stuff works for me.
