Which Airbag system?? (Avy Footage)

Thanks everyone for the replies! I guess I need to get to a dealer and try some on before I make a decision.

If nobody else is going to say it, I will...

You guys need some avy awareness education!! Avy conditions are off the hook EVERYWHERE and you guys are putting 2 riders on an open slope in HIGH AVY conditions.

Hope we dont read about you in the news.

Sorry to be a downer, but by your own admission, you have had multiple close calls. Get some education before you become a statistic!!

Avy conditions around Logan have been HIGH for a while...no excuse for riding in that terrain considering the current conditions.
First of all I knew I would get some criticism for this video, but I don't think you know more about the incident that I do, so I'm not going to argue too much, I'm not one to sit behind my keyboard and tell people how wrong they are, but... I have taken multiple avalanche courses and have been studying them since grade school. I know what I'm doing in the back country and am very careful. I will admit this was a lapse in judgment. If you'll notice we did NOT have two riders on the slope. I was going to wait at the top until he made it down (which according to my avy training is the proper thing to do). Never have multiple riders on a slope.

The avalanche danger in Logan was no where near High, so I have no idea where you are getting that info. For Monday February 20, the avy danger for Logan Utah was a Level one, with small pockets of level 2. I check the rating everyday, regardless if I'm riding or not. The danger in not only Logan, but all of the state had been declining for more than a week.

We didn't just head straight down the hill, we stopped and checked it out before and thought it could work. The problem was we had never been to this particular area, and no one had been there all year. If we would have looked at it from the bottom first, no way would we have been on it. Hindsight is such a great thing.

As for my other incident, which was last year, also happened on a day where avy conditions were at a level 1. I took all the proper precautions but accidents still happen. Which is why I figure it's time to invenst in an Airbag System.

I have and use the bca float 30 i like it alot it has enough room for everything i carry, gloves, camera, survial needs etc. i like that you can get them recharged at any scuba shop of fire dept. if you are intrested i have a buddy that may part ways with his, its a year old in excelent shape and never been deployed other than testing it. let me know.
