Backpack. It's tough. I've had a float pump in a backpack bangin' all over the place for 3 years and never a problem. When properly wedged between extra gloves, goggles and everything else I jam in there it's pretty stable.

Iuse to have it strapped with my spare belt, until my clutch ate it. Nothin like throwin the brakes on in a steep and deep climb........

I have mine under the seat. It fits along with the tool kit. Kind of takes a beating but so far it looks ok.
