where can i get a clutch alignment tool cheap?

Where can i get the clutch alignment tool i need for my 05 fusion 900.... im only going to use it once so where ever i can get it cheap would be great... i see SLP has three of them for polaris sleds.... which one do i need? thanks

The 900 mounts aren't set up to be "aligned" like most sled engines you realize?
Unless there's damage to the bulkhead or something specific your trying to do... keep fresh mounts in it, set your secondary float and go!

Do you have a Polaris dealer close by? Stop by and ask them to throw their tool on it and check it for you... the dealers around me don't charge just to do a quick check on the trailer for you. If there is an issue then maybe you'll want to buy your own tool and work on it. You want the 20-191 tool from SLP.

I removed most of the washer spacers on the secondary and just let it float.

That doesn't work.

The secondary doesn't float. As soon as you wack the throttle and force is applied the secondary doesn't move back and forth. If it is in the wrong spot it will stay there and then at least you lose performance and at worst you eat a belt.

The reason there is a recommendation for a "float" adjustment is so that the jackshaft bearing doesn't get side loaded. They are not designed for any side load and so the spacer (float) is to keep that from happening.
