what's the latest at Helens and Adams??

Rhoward- Thanks for th report.

900RMK166- Do you think the westside will be in about the same condition? I'm just wondering if making one last run down there will be worth it. I hate to get down there and have a heck of a time getting to the snow...

Tell ya what, I'll take a drive up there tonight and get an idea of what it's going to look like Saturday morning. You guys are both going to make it if it's rideable right?

Heck Yah, seriously. If I don't come down there, I am not riding this weekend!

So here's the latest info. West side has about two feet of snow on the road. Only have to ride about 150 ft of pavement and then snow on out (at least a mile...that's as far as I wanted to walk). Out of Marble it's about the same thing. Saw this sign though that I've never seen (first pic). I'm sure that doesn't pertain to us though right?

Guess I shoulda thrown the  in there huh? I doubt it would be a problem but I'll give them a call tomorrow. Just have to keep the GPS on so we know where we can't go.

On the road out of the Cougar sno-park where the snow starts. Looks like it was just posted...looking at the dates though it may be a new rule. I'll find out more today...

Well I have climbed St helens the old fashioned way about 10 times and you have to buy a permit to go above 4800feet. My guess (just a guess here) is that climber and other may be complaining that they have to pay to climb the mountain and snowmobiles do not have to so now they (the FS) may have decide to close the upper part of the mountain to snowmobiles once the permits start being implemented or once climber have to pay a daily fee to be on the mountain.

Let us know what you find out as there needs to be rules that apply to all of us equally and it doesn't sound like that is happening.

I agree with what MC said ^^^^

This great snow year maybe impacting the normal regs for this time of year. Looks like new rules to me.
