back when i was 14, i was loading one of our yami's up on the trailer, and accidently pinned it right into the tail gate, then followed bye the sled landing on me once i hit the ground.

Crossing

Where we ride there is a creek to get to the trail they put in a little bridge in the winter. My brother takes up an acquaintance and his girlfriend, well for some reason they come back down the mountain early, girlfriend was cold or some ****. While crossing the little bridge he just couldn’t keep it together, runs off the bridge into the creek, he gets pinned under the sled and doesn’t tell anyone. That week I am browsing skyland forum and I find a post saying some kid fell in the creek got pinned by his sled and his girlfriend just watched him, I ask my bro about it and the next day the kid admits to it. I don’t think he has gone riding since. :rolleyes:

Long Live the PLP (they have to die early how couldnt they)

I have a conffesion to make. In 2002 I bought a brand new 02 800 RMk. One night we were heading out to a snowmobile party at a friends house. Well the party got canceled. So at about 10 pm we were trying to figure out what to do for the night. Mind you I was 17 dumb and loved doing stupid things. Well my buddies conviced me to unload my sled and hit a 18ft snow pile in the hastings (big video rental place)parking lot. We had 3 gorgeous girls with us to so i wanted to be cool. I unload the sled let it warm up and then ride around the parking lot doing cookies (screwing up the track) and other little things. Then i pin the sled and hit the pile fast and flew. Well I was dumb then and didnt know the pile would be staggered on top, I hit a huge frozen snow burm and break my leg on my sled dash. I learned then and to this day havent done anything like that again. Its fun watching guys like that now and actualy realizing how dumb it is.

lol i know that kid...wel know of him. he was dating my gf's friend lol. thats how i heard about it lol. i wish i could have seen that!

The best PLP I have wittnessed (besides myself of course) was some hot rod with his jacked up powerstroke and 4 place trailer stuck in a snow bank at recreational springs near the black hills. He managed to get his truck stuck, and then decided to unhook the trailer, unload 4 sleds, and try to pull the trailer away from the truck with a sled. I about died laughing when the guy on the sled hooked the back of the trailer to his bumber of his sled (with a bunch of slack in the tow rope of course) and pinned the sled. The tow rope got tight real quick, and the trailer didn't go anywhere but the rider sure did. Right over the handle bars and flat onto his back. We didn't stick around to see how they got the trailer out.

As far as the boat ramp loading and unloading check this out

With his GF still in the truck he proceeds to unstrap his sleds and then walked over to our group and says " can one of you guys help me unload my sleds"

good advice you gave him... its not that hard to pull a sled off of a trailer by yourself... if he cant do that then maybe he shouldn't be riding it. and what kind of girl does he have. she can ride a sled but cant help him unload them?

shoulda asked him if he wants you to ride it for him too

i was a huge parkinglot poser last year but in my truck, i was in my couple month old gmc in the canadian tire parking lot. i cant remember what i was trying to buy but they didnt have it, i punched it out of my spot in all wheel drive and traction control kicked in and didnt fish tail as much as i wanted, it was dark i cut off a ford mustang, there was a couple inches of snow and it was kind of icy and out of no where i slam into a shopping cart during my attempt at a amazing all wheel drive fishtail and it just flys across the lot and crashes and rolles a couple times, i then turn into an empty spot to check my damage now even more pissed off and i am thinking the whole front of my truck is f*cked. i get out and i cant see anything im looking and looking, well the handle corner must have just hit the headlight because it has a little crack and a crease in it................im releaved this is the only damage and i look and the people in the mustang are staring at me like a f8ckin tard hahahaha

The best I have seen was at Owl's head in Sicamous. We pulled into a meadow to take a bit of a break. To our amazement we see one sled pulling another sled through the snow at like 40 mph. They finally stop and we asked what they were try to do. The guys answer was this......." How fast do we need to pull this sled for it to start?" As it turns out the guy being pulled had broken his recoil and they thought they could push start the sled. Like a dirt bike.

After all of the laughter we wrapped a rope around his clutch and started his sled for him.

Funnies thing I have seen on the mountain.....

Haha That's awesome!!!

I was hanging out with some PLP's once and they were sold on the fact that "rich" meant theyre was too much oil in the fuel. They had no idea what jets were.

geek of the fawkin week....LOL! love that one!

i got one....and it involves.....ME being the loser!

so i never loaded up or off of a sled deck b4. i am off loading in the lot. sleds warmed up and here i come down....once i get nearly all the way off ramp (just skies on it) i give it a shot for the track was spinning on the hard packed lot. does it not catch...throwing me forward....into the throttle (i was standing)....my sled is fairly loud as well...i start RIPPIN in reverse, COMPLETELY out of control...and not letting off due to the force! i fly backwards at 20mph for a good 50ft. SLAM into the far side bank...fly off the sled backwards...all the while wearing a flat brimmed hat backwards! talk about douche bag! im not one of those monster guys and i NEVER fawk around in the lots. so...everyone in my group is pissin themselves laughin...im SUPER embarrassed...i ride over respectfully as always and we get ready to rip. we ride all day without incident. get back to the trucks. this time the lot is full of people leaving. as i stated earlier i am a newbie at loading on decks. i go to ride up the deck...i get the skies just over the top and spin out...not enough momentum. reverse down...give it a bit more. just as i am cresting i feel the sled starting to spin again...i give it a little "blip" well fawk me, does the sled not TAKE off!!! right into the headache rack and over the bars i go! i land right on the roof of his truck! i dont know how many people saw this but i know it was a few. i will never tell where...NEVER....lol. i had to crawl across his roof and back over to the sled. all the while my group is dying with laughter...well everyone but my buddy who owns the truck. he runs over and climbs the deck to inspect the deck and truck. i dented his roof a bit but no other damage not even to the sled (bent the plastic skies a bit) he is like..."what a fawkin **** show you are" needless to say they will forever bring this up...and rightfully so. i have never felt so....stupid...no....dumb...no.....fawkin retarded, in all my life. oh well, i now own a deck and its a slice loading/unloading now...lol

Take the Cover clear off

I saw this idiot unbuckle his coverand flip it back over the tunnel. Went and got gas and oil. Got that done. Took the tiedowns off, but not the COVER.

The cover was still flopped over the tunnel over the back still buckeled underneath.

Now he is on about Beer #3.:beer;

He gets on the sled fires it up Beer in hand and reaches around to flip the cover off but its still buckled. More concerned about spilling the Beer then the cover he aims his focus foward and --- gives her the throttle and almost makes it off the ramp.

Now the frickin cover is WADDED up between the tunnel and the track.

Next approach -- Put it in REVERSE pointed down the ramp.

Now the cover is half under the track half waded in the tunnel, Belt is smokin
in REVERSE.

Shuts her down and goes for another Beer !!!:beer;

Then he gets his buddy over there who all this time I guess has been Bull Sh--ing with people in the parking lot.

They drag the sled off the trailer turn it upside down and get out the pocket knives.

Buddy --- Well how did this happen ???:beer;

I got couple... ...one involves myself.

First day riding my 07 Rev, first day loading the trailer. Got back from a fun day riding (buddy teaching me the basics of non-trail riding.. leaning, I was green.. i mean reallly reallly green).. Come back to the lot and come across a really cute sledder girl, my friend new her and was talking to her (I didn't know her at the time..we became good friends later on). Went to go load the sled on the tilt trailer got a little over zealous, and didn't line my sled up right crashed my brand new sled into the lip on the side of the trailer ripped a chunk out of my ski went flying forward and took the bars to the chest and had to embarrassingly pull the sled off and reload. Never was able to cross out of the friend zone after that one. hahaha. ;)

Second one was a couple weeks ago. Watched a couple guys try to load some cats unto an iced trailer for about 30 mins or so, they would try to both ride up the tilt trailer at the same time to get it to fall forward or the sleds would just slide right back off.. Eventually they tried to load it flat off what looked like a bank but was really a telephone poll fence covered with a little snow, they didn't rev at the right time went under the poll and sleds got stuck and wedged. I could have sworn they just didn't know about there parking break but my buddy says the trailer was iced.. haha. eventually they got them loaded half on off another bank flat, and had to pull them on the rest of the way. .I wouldn't be surprised if the sleds slipped off while driving in town. It was a sketchy site. I swear they tried at least a dozen times to load them half the time they couldn't get enough speed to get them up the tilt as the parking lot was iced down..

You mean there is trails beyond the parking lot? damn it, why didn't you guys tell me this earlier. I drive 8 hours to the snowies to run circle track around the turnaround area. Had no clue there was other places beyond that. Guess i need to stop wearing my black,flat bill,monster hat so damn low on my head, then maybee i could see. But how cool would that be? I mean seriously, someone might be watching!! LOL!! If that Chit is cool, I am a huge looser!!!:D

What's the dumbest parking lot poser you've seen?

Busy staging areas are kinda like cities.

I don't frequent them, but I'm sure glad the rest of you doo....
