Whats the correct peak RPM

2013 Pro 800

What is the target RPM for clutching ?

A couple of quick WOT shots after the 100 mle QD belt break in showed 7950 ish.

130 miles bone stock, what milage do they put the timing back in ?

Thanks

I thought this was going to be a clutching question. I honestly don't remember what mine revved to at break in. It was more than that I think

I aim to have mine pull 8250 at full load. Last u remember it was peak horsepower for this mill. So I usually rev to 8350 unloaded.

My RPM is at 8250 . It was 8250 brand new and is still the same with 450miles. Not sure if theres a break in peroid that everyone talks about. I haven't noticed any difference in the machine between new and now.

My '13 800 RMK hits 8250-8300 at 7000' on the trails. Took it down to Sonora 3 wks ago and it was still hitting 8250 at 9000-10,000 ft. on long pulls in the bowls. Two of my riding pals on '12 Pro's were having mixed results. One was hitting 8100 and the other was dropping off to 7800. We are all running stock Poo clutching with 10-62's. Everytime I've ridden down at Sonora over the past 20 yrs, I've always had a drop in R's if I didn't throw some lighter weights at the primary, like 10-60's. Currently have 480 miles on this sled. Happier than a calf in clover that it's holding R's at high altitude.

Peak RPM

Several of my riding buddies and I have tried everything from 7900 to 8350 at 7000-9000 ft with the stock helix, different driven springs and doing some grinding one the sides of stock weights. We have come to the conclusion that these motors have a very wide powerband. However, one turning 7950 will out climb the same sled spinning 8350 every time. No noticeable difference from 8050-8250 in a drag race or on the hill.
