Whats interchangeable 05 iq/06 600

I've got a lead on an 05 iq 121 that has a 660 motor in it and twin pipes. I currently have an 06 600 iq sled that has a 155 ez ryde with with a turbo, however the 600 motor took out the crank and lower case.
Will the iqr 660 motor drop into the iq chassis?
What would be required to mount the ezryde/155 and turbo on the iqr?
Just trying to decide if I should pull the trigger here.
Both are carb setups.

Mite have to be a little more specific... What is the 660 based off of? I would assume the HO but could be ves. The 05 i assume is an iqr but is the 06 u have a consumer iq or an iqr?

the skid from the iq will bolt into the iqr no problem with a tunnel extension and some drop brackets. but u should use the measurements from the sled it is currently installed in for bolting it up. Assuming the 660 is an HO because it would be the easiest to put in the iqr it would be directly interchangeable with the 600 in the consumer iq. Getting the turbo into the iqr would be just like putting a turbo into anything else, just a little fab work.

Does the 600 ho motor have the exhaust valves? How do I tell the difference between a ves motor and an ho motor?
thanks for the help

yes an ho motor will have ves valves as well. im pretty sure u can tell by the color of the head cover, the ves will be red and an ho will be black. other than that im not really sure. someone else im sure will know.

The 660 will bolt right into the IQ no problem. Use your stock engine straps from your IQ chassis with the blown engine if your swapping over. Whose 660 is it? Twin pipes single pipes? The exhuast may be an issue though.

Based on the year the sled is its hard to tell without pictures of the engine what exactly your dealing with if its a 600 VES or a 600 HO that the 660 is based off of.

Call EZ-Ryde, they have specific mounting instructions for the IQR, if my memory is working they mount it differently than the IQ due to its shorter chaincase.

2006 600 HO Fusion's had a red head cover, so that is not full proof. The easiest way to tell an HO from a VES engine is:

1. The fuel pump pulse is on the MAG side reed cage on an HO, on a VES its on the bottom case half on the MAG side
2. Cyl casting #'s, the Ho is a 3021542 casting and the VES is most Likely a 3021333 or 3021256 and 3021257
3. Reed angle, the HO reed blocks are vertical when the engine is int he chassis, the VES have an angle to them
4. DET sensor, the HO engine should have the DET sensor on the front of the head between the exhaust valves for an 06 and the underside of the head on the intake side for an 07. VES engines did not utilize the DET sensor until after 06.

Really? All the 600 HOs i have seen have black covers. But i guess my dad had a 2000 600 ves with a black head. kinda throws that idea out the window. Thanks a lot Anger! Good info!
