What to get during the wait?

One of many with a new ProRMK on the way. 800 155"

Thought I'd try and get a list going for myself and others of things we should acquire while waiting.

Things such as clutch springs, weights, gears, tools, extra parts...

What would everyone recommend?

Ok am I lost?? This is the section to ask and talk about Pro's isnt it?? or have I just lost it:face-icon-small-ton

I assume he posted it in the iq section, andn it got moved over here.

Lots of guys are running Slp blue pink primary
Team black purple secondary spring.
And mtx weights are nice as they are adjustable!
Cruise around Slp website .. I'm sure you can find some good " investments"

Cheers

Should not have to do much. Black purple in the secondary and 10-60 weights and she will run awesome. One item I think is a must is some type of brush bumper if either you or your sled likes the trees. I installed a Fire-n-Ice on mine and love it. It save my sled more times than once, great investment. I also installed the Fire-n-Ice vents on my side panels and am pleased with them as well. Or you can do nothing and still be in love.

Yeah, I first accidentally posted it in the IQ section.... Thanks Ford!

Good stuff so far.

Bumper is a must, I love trees. Probably pick up some vents, and some betterboards (or similar). tether....goes with the bumper :)

Took the wheel kits off my IQ, so I'm good there.

Got a new IQ cover, anyone know if it fits a Pro?

Any better options for panel mounting hardware or anything like that?

I would also Look at "TOOLS"

Like a GOOD set of TORX Bits..

Maybe some Swivel Sockets, 10mm 12mm 13mm 14mm

And Wobble Allen Hex Bits! ;)

So you can work on the Pro yourself, and not looking for a tool!

I've got an Orange 163" 800 on the way.

Here's what I've already purchased for the sled:
Z-Broz X1 shocks all the way around
Z-Broz chromoly a-arms
Better boards
Simmons Skis

Sorry! Intended to give the thumbs up for the zbroz products. Sometimes thumbs and phones aren't a good combination for internet use.

Here are a few other goodies that I didn't see mentioned that are great for the pro.......BoonDocker turbo, Timbersled rear suspension, skinz bumper, air frame running boards, and low/lightweight seat, 2 ½ camo extreme track, 2cool air vents, and rsi lower handlebars. It also seems like a handlebar bag and under seat bag are nice for some storage.

Thanks for starting this, I was wondering the same thing for my snowcheck.

I've followed the oil recommendations thread - any recommendations for plug brands?

How many of you guys are running a float plate on your RMK? Looking at the Polaris (narrower) and Skinz(wider).

I'll most likely be picking up a bumper as well.

After riding a demo 163 hard for 77 miles the only real thing I need for my elevation[5-7K] is a set of betterboards.I took all my tunnel acc off my IQ except my extra bogie wheels.I don't think they even need a can as I like the stock sound not too quiet.May require a 1" riser but will put some seat time on before I decide if I need the added height and poss a few clutch side vents

Heres my list of parts that I have. Just need the sled now.

1. Better Boards
2. Mike Taylor footwell plates
3. Edgeworks rear bumper
4. Skinz front bumper
5. Skinz float plate
6. Fire N Ice side panel and windshield vents
7. Gauge lifter
8. HPS Can
9. Goldfinger LH throttle (removed from my Dragon)
10. Oles Riser
Plus many more smaller items I removed from my Dragon

Still need to decide on an Arctic FX wrap but I am going to wait til the new ones are out in September and also do some powdercoating.

Hey JD where do you find that Gauge lifter?? Also, I need a few different weights, should I get one set of slp's or just buy a few of polaris's. Not used to this since I came off a Doo.

Pro Accessories

Definitely get Skinz Float plate and Bumpers!! Also Sledsolutions has a nice tunnel bag.

Left it stock except black/purple and 10-60's (which is polaris recomended for 8-10k) and skinz under seat bag and I've never had so much fun. If I were to spend money I'd do air frames. I only have 2 year engine so I'll probably throw the slp stage III kit on, but stock I was always amazed at where it would go. After I tried to knock over a 30" tree I put on the tricity bumper, but I think the bumper should be the weak point, not the frame so I would leave stocker there till wrecked.

Here are my mods:

-Exit X1's on the front
-Team Tied clutch
-Better Boards
-Craigerbuilt tunnel rack (fuel can and rear rack)
-Skinz under seat bag
-ArcticFX graphics (yeah!)

I did my own clutching (shaved weights). Here are some things I suggest:

-Weigh your weights when they come, there may be some variance
-Get Better Boards, they are much better than the stock boards
-Do a wrap or at least a tunnel wrap, that helps with snow buildup
-Shocks are good on this sled but do bottom out. New Exits, Floats or stock revavles hit the spot
-Buy some extra hood clips (part #7710630) see pic below (#3).
-Order Skinz products now. I ordered a seat bag back in December and it is still not here yet.
