What simple things could the MFG's do that they aren't doing now?

In addition to all of this...some really good ideas..would like to see built in GPS...quads have it..why not sleds? Should make for a more accurate Odometer which could tell me how much fuel I actually have.

Of put the fuel tank on load cells...judge fuel quantity by weight..not sensors

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it better to have your fuel guage say "empty" but in reality you still have 2-2.5 gallons?
I think they do this on purpose?
I have no issues with the fuel guages.
Only takes a ride or 2 on a new sled to know how much fuel I actually have left.
An old man we ride with carries a stick with a mark on it and if it is up to the mark he knows he still has 4 gallons of fuel.
Would be real simple to do this... You could even use your avy probe.

Yea, a gauge that reads empty with 2 gallons is ok. But on my 900RMK it reads over a quarter and I die midway through a chute and find myself S.O.L. with no gas. That's when the gauges really become frustrating...

Not so much a change in sled as is there program.


I would like to see them offer the "year end" discounts up front to the peeps that want to snow check sleds. Just seems backazzwards to penalize the guy that steps up and commits early.

Actually, after thinking about this...

What is the one thing the manufacturers are not doing now that they should be?

SUPPORTING OUR F*CKING CAUSE.

They should _REQUIRE_ their dealers to be active members of BRC, they should automatically offer to sign people up with the purchase of new snomobile or ATV's, they should ___DO SOMETHING___.

That would be the single biggest and best thing they could do.

1 - I know the technology is out there, Honda has it on their scooter, the Ruckus. Use the giant, heavy magneto as an electric starter. Every sled out there has a magneto, why not take the next step?

2 - Factory installed skid plates

3 - Bring back the clear fuel tank
